    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Kyle Hall bought feeders from us on a few occasions and the last time he purchased he wrote a bad check for $463.90. He then gave me a credit card that would not go through. This was two months ago and he has ignored all my calls and texts since that time.

Do you all not have a policy to wait until a check clears before shipping?
 
He picked up from our facility, the product was not shipped, so I just took the check here as we had in the past. He is intentionally ignoring me now and I just wanted to make sure others know how he will gain some trust with a few checks and then leave you hanging.
 
Do you have anything that explicitly shows that this buyer bounced a check? Maybe an online bank statement or whatever notification may have been sent? It'd be pretty simple to edit out any sensitive information and prove, beyond doubt, that the guy passed a bad check.
 
Does he have an online presence? Just wondering if he even sells anything. If not, I've got nothing to worry about.

I am sorry for the bad check though. I've been stiffed before too.
 
Sorry you have to deal with this Heath. I left a message on his facebook page about an hour ago, but it will probably be deleted.
 
Actually you go to local police dept and have them do a theft by deception report. Officer's will try and make contact for restitution. If ignored the report will be forwarded to prosecutor for review.
 
The procedure is probably different everywhere, we always had to go to the courthouse. The funny thing is they would be stopped on say a traffic offense, and be arrested LOL! Us getting paid was part of the condition for their bond. Sometimes took awhile, but we always collected eventually.
 
Thanks for your thoughts guys. I was not going to post anything about him until I found out he was doing the same thing to another person and I just wanted to warn people. I will work with anyone who is going through a difficult time and needs to wait to pay, but the complete lack of contact shows me he has no intention of ever paying this and I just don't want it to happen to someone else.

Best of luck Heath. The few times I've been defrauded by check I got hosed for the amount. Fortunately I'm with a corporation and they allow it as a tax write off. I've known smaller businesses that have gone under over things like this. If I can throw some business your way I will.
 
I just wanted to do an update on this. I got a text message from someone today who said they had taken over accounting for Petz Unleashed and gave a credit card to charge and I was able to collect the money owed.
