They're here. 2019 Western Hermann's tortoises (Testudo hermanni hermanni).

These available 2019 hatchlings have all been hatching out within the last 6 weeks here. I will not relinquish them until they are a full 2 months of age. Most are just about ready now. They have been outside here in sunny, hot, south Jersey since hatching in fully protected enclosures. They are feeding consistently on clover, vetch, dandelion, Mediterranean plantain, ribwort plantain, hibiscus leaves & flowers, Mazuri tortoise diet (original formula 1xweek), curly endive and some spring mix.
They derive from our genetically pure, locality specific groups which are the founder stock for the North American Regional Studbook. Please take note that not every baby will receive a studbook number. Some pairings are now well-represented in the studbook, therefore, there is no reason to assign numbers to the offspring from those pairings at present. By viewing the studbook you will still be able to view the information regarding the parents of these available babies by recognizing the green mark before them. Green stands for genetic viability, which means absolute purity. If you prefer to obtain babies that will be receiving a studbook number, just mention that to me. There is NO extra charge for studbook registered animals.

These babies are both F1 and F2 individuals produced by some absolutely incredible adults. I do my best with photos but I sincerely believe I have never been able to capture their true beauty via photos, even on the website.
