In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Fairly new to breeding but this is a good sign eggs could be coming correct? Let me know what you think!

She was bred all through the winter by the previous owner. She had to sell off all her reptiles due to a management change at her apts so I picked up a Het pair of VPI axanthics (the girl in the picture above, hope I get lucky!), and a incubator with a clutch of eggs already inside from a normal X mystery father (there were three possible sires). Those eggs are at day 40 now so the wait is almost over with them too! :)

Congrats Ryan! You should have yourself another clutch within the next few days....although I one girl do that for nearly 3 weeks before she finally laid. Either way, very good sign she's about to!!

Can anyone tell me why they do this? I do remember reading that this was a common behavior before laying, but I do not remember if there was a reason given.

It's commonly believed to be part of the "positioning" of the eggs process and could be because it's a comfortable position?

*remember how uncomfortable it gets for gravid humans to lay on their bellies? :)

Nice pick up Ryan!
And congrats on the pair of het ax's

I actually turned those eggs down, mostly because I had my eye on her yellow belly/orange belly female she had, which I now have. What a beauty.
We also picked up her female normal that dropped those eggies you have

I believe those eggs will hold pastels or yellow bellies, not sure if there was another male involved though.

It's a shame James had to give up his passion when he went into the Navy.

probably, but my 2000g male mojave lays like that all the time. hopefully you get some eggs.

Ya I never got to meet James. I am in the opposite position though, I was in the military 8 years and I could never keep anything and now I am diving into the hobbies I have wanted to get into for a long time now that I am out. Id dig some pastels so fingers crossed! I can see pattern forming on the snakes in the eggs now so that is exciting!

Hopefully you do get some pastels as their pastel male was/is pretty hot.
The 1300 gram Orange belly female we got from them is gravid with 4 eggs, not a bad pick up for $250 :yesnod:
I wasn't sure at first but now she clearly shows gravid and I feel 4 really nice golf ball size lumps :D

first whats an orange belly never heard or seen before? second not to sound like an ass but that female looks a little big for the tub she is in. or did you put her in there just to lay her eggs.adult females i always keep in cb70 that size tub is more like a sub adult size. IMO

An orange belly is another line of yellow belly that was involved with producing graphite ivories.
Ben Siegel proved them out and the look very much like a yb but with orange down the side of the belly.

It looks like a lay tub to me, hopefully that's not her permanent home

cool about the orange belly, learn something new every day. But a lay tub with cypress mulch? never used cypress as a lay tub in the last 15 years but i guess to each his own.
Yeah the orange belly is really pretty, I'll get pics posted up of her after she lays and gets back on feed.

I let mine lay there eggs on a bare tub floor, I tried offering aspen before, and got it pushed to the corners and she laid her eggs on the floor anyways :shrug01:
