    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Let me start this out by saying Lee of Lee Herps Is a Great Guy :) now the story.......I did a deal with Lee earlier this week, Well he shipped monday 04/18. The box arrived 04/19. Late I might add no fault of Lee's, Ups just dont really care(where I am at least) well any way the package arrived. The box looked fine when I received it. the driver left. I put the box on the table to get my digi camera when I turned, around I noticed A big hole in the side of the BOX(covered with Cello tape) Like somebody tried to kick a field goal with the box :hot: upon opening the box I noticed it went all the way to the plastic container which was dented with the top 1/2 open... :hot: Well upon looking through the box I came to find the Male Hypo DH Snow not there any where :hot: Well I contacted Lee Real Fast, and he and I talked, He told me that he would send my money back..15 minutes later the $200 was back in my account, he told me later that he had to tranfer the balance to his other Account ($175) I said no problem... Mean while I'm calling all over the east coast(UPS), Trying to find This Boa :bawling: well anyway I was told Tuff S**T. The next day 04/19 I called Lee and told him....... Look why dont we just split the loss I cant see someone taking the whole loss when I know it wasn't their fault ...... Let me go on to say Lee of Lee Herps Is A Great Guy and I would DO Business With Him Again In A NEW YORK MINUTE :) :>off_to<: UPS NEEDS TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER ....Their Policy on this reptile thing is getting majorly stupid :hot:
 
Sounds like you are both great people and could work this out together admirably!

If UPS isn't fitting the bill perhaps Lee should think about getting Fed-Ex certified. I heard it's not all that difficult and perhaps he and you could have recouped something from this fiasco done by UPS.

If I ever get any decent results from my breeding projects that is what I was going to do (unless someone has compelling reasons why I shouldn't?!).

Thanks for posting this as Lee has some tempting things up every once in a while making me repeat my mantra: "No more room, stick with your projects!" :)
 
First off, I'll second the kudos for Lee. I've dealt with him a couple of times in the past and always found him wonderful to work with.

Unfortunately, even with a Fed-Ex Certified account (I have one) you would still have no recourse on the loss. Part of the "Fine Print" attached to the account absolves them of any liability for loss. Of course, since they know it is a live animal within the box, we can at least hope that they will treat it with a little more care.
 
I agree with Maggie. Good on both of y'all. While some sellers explicitly say "not responsible for shipper's errors" I feel that while the animal(s) is/are in transit that it is kind of a limbo and the risk should be shared.

BTW I believe that private "excess" insurance can be obtained (Lloyd's will insure virtually any risk) but the cost is probably more than the value, unless the animals involved are extremely high end.

:rofl: Maggie I say that everyday. But I see what Lee and the others have and I find ways to rearrange my House :rofl: There are more Boas in my house Then Furniture :rofl:

I must say this post makes me sick. Not only did you lie and steal from Lee, but then you had the nerve to post the whole fantasy here and give a good guy post to the guy you just screwed. How very nice of you Bill. A thief with manners isn't that just special. I think UPS should be made aware of your comments here as well, as what you have done could very easily be considered Libel in that it was a fabrication (lie) that you told with malicious intent that many have seen here and which may have also caused some serious damage in the loss of business. Bill, you went way to far with the one. For anyone that does know what I am referring to, just check out this link below. Most here have seen it, but I think this post shows it in a new light, and I think that Bill does a great job of showing us just how far he is willing to go to with this scam. For anyone that has not read the thread, in the interest of preserving your sanity, I should also mention that the thread comes to a conclusion at page 20 and pretty much degrades into a waste of time from about page 25 on.
