Sorry, when I first signed up I had stumbled upon a specific "Leopard Gecko" section from google... I only have a simple question.
- I was told that mealworms are a good alternative to crickets sometimes, so I bought a few and dropped em' into my tank. Ignorantly lol, I didn't put the mealworms into a small dish and they instantly just burrowed. (I don't think any of my 4 leopards got one of them...) - This was a few months ago. NOW, I have a whole civilization of mealworms/beatles under my bark, (I use the forest bark,) - and I'm not sure if this is safe? I mean, if mealworms are a good food source FOR my geckos, than I don't see the problem. However, I could be wrong - seeing as to how the mealworms morph into the beatles after time, and I don't think my geckos eat these at all. On top of the beatles possibly being a problem, what good are the mealworms if they're still living under the bark and my geckos can never really get to em'?? Write back, and I appreciate your interest in reading this.
