    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

She was an escapee at the Petco that I work for, and since she was loose for supposedly 3 years, they let me take her home. :)

First, research leos thoroughly (i.e. Websites, Youtube videos, and books). Find a reptile vet in your area to discuss any possible treatments if she has parasites. Basics care: Water dish, mininium of two (2) reptile approved "hides" (places for her to hide in, resin caves are good), and two (2) thermometers and one (1) hygrometer. Ambient temps should be 75-85 F with a hotspot provided by an Under Tank Heater beneath one hide with a temp of 90-97 F. Sorry if this seems like I'm acting as of you have no rep experience, as I don't know you (for the record, you seem like you have great experience)! Feed her crickets and mealworms every day, alternating each item each feeding. Offer a food dish with a calcium/vitamin mixture.
Hope this helps,
Brian

I do have a bit of experience with reptiles, but am very new to Leopard Gecko's. Thanks for the information. I hope to get some better stuff for her soon. Some cool hides just came in the store, so I will definitely get one, she already has one though. I do keep her pretty warm on her warm side, but need to get another probe thermometer for accurate measurement.

I was worried about meal worms, having read in a book that too much can cause some sort of fatty liver disease, or something like that. She eats crickets and lobster roaches right now.

What humidity should I keep her at? I mist her cage 2 times a day.

I don't think you should mist her twice daily, but make sure you have a third hide with sphagnum moss that you should mist every day for the best results. Please know that this is not a neccesity, but one of my leos have a shedding prob because I left his humid hide un misted. He ended up self amputating two of his toes (they are growing back, along with his toenails!). My staple is actually mealworms with no prob. I supplement the diet with superworms twice a week, one per gecko per feeding, and four waxworms per gecko per feeding every two weeks.

Sorry, but I can't view any photos of her. I forgot to mention it, but are you sure she is a she? Try yo look at the vent. Just above there will be a row of pores that look like an upside down V. If this is present, than "SHE" is a "HE". Also forgot to say that humidity should be 30-60%.
