    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Evan -- You have really beautiful animals. But I have a question...for the 7 month old lessers and 10 month old caramel, why are they only 200-300 grams??? Are they picky feeders?

Small for their age because of prolonged pinky/ fuzzy diet

Hey Jen, thanks for your interest. There was one of the lessers that was picky for a while but no, the rest are great eaters. We kept them on pinkies for a while and then fuzzies and then hoppers for some time. We just didn't speed them into hoppers or mice as fast as we could have. But now they're eating small mice voraciously.

small for their age, balls

Budget was also a consideration in the size of our babies. We were in no rush to sell, breed, or beef them up so we fed them conservatively, pinching pennies because we had to at that time, giving them amounts similar what they could expect in the wild rather than a captive feast. But nowadays we're giving them the feast. We have fewer babies in our colony and more money for these guys. That and we're trying to sell them so it's time for some size. I assure you that these ones are not picky. They are eating their weight in gold..well maybe not gold but, aluminum at least.

I asked because I am looking for a female lesser born in the first 6 months of 2007 so that she could potentially be ready by spring 2009 at 2 years old -- but I was worried about the small size on those preventing them from reaching minimum weight standards by then. I will drop you a PM and find out more -- thanks for the reply!

Hey Jen, sorry to get back to you so late but our female lessers were born in June of 07'. They are great eaters and I assure you they will pack on mass rapidly without a problem. We also have a female lesser born in 06' . She's about seven hundred grams and would certainly be ready to breed next year at this time if you are interested.

Would you be interested in any type of trade for a female lesser? I have an 07 female ghost hypo that is gorgeous. Let me know if you are interested and I can email you some pics. Thanks, Manny
