    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi just a couple of questions. Do savs need full spectrum uvb flourescent lamps and how easy are they to tame? . my sav is about 8 months old and i want to get him/her? totally tame i can pick i up ok now and it will sit fairly quiet but are there any tips please

I've always heard and know from experiance that the best way to tame them is to handle them. I take mine out and either give him a bath or just hold him everyday. I let him know it's me touching him by rubbing the back of his neck and his front legs just fold back and his eyes shut, he loves it, then, he just lets me pick him up and doesn't squirm or anything. I try to avoid touching his head though, that seems to aggrivate him. As far as the light, I'm pretty sure they need it.

i have a young, almost 12" savvy, and she was the meanest thing untill she bit me REALLY bad (for her size at least) my parents were furiouse, and said that if i didnt tame her we'de have to get rid of ehr, so for the past two weeks ive been holding her at the least once a day, and bathing her once a week. she loves baths:). and ive found that shes progressed extremely fast! 2-3 weeks ago i couldent take her out of her cage without her spinning at me and lunging/ trying to bite me, now i can pick her up easily without her even puffing up, also she looks much happier out of her cage, shes more alerta, and checking things out. ive allways been told it would take alot longer for her to become like this. shes not fully tame yet, she still moves away from wherever i rub/ pet her, but shes better. but my question basically is will she tame much more quickly? shes been steadily getting better, and i was wondering if that would continue. also im going away for a week soon, and im worried that since she calmed so easily would she get "hot" as easily too?
