    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok I have all albino geckos. I am wondering what would I do about lighting. How would I view them? Should I use an incadescent light or a flourescent light to view them? I should try to simulate day and night with a timer right? I currently have a flourescent light over the tank but when I turn it on they all walk around with their eyes closed. Keep in mind I just got 2 of them yesterday and the other 2 4 days ago. Should I leave it and maybe they will get used to the light eventually or just go out and buy a low wattage incadescent light?

Go as low of a wattage (incandescent) as you can. They are walking around with their eyes closed because strong light hurts them. Make the light just strong enough for you to be able to view. They should be their heat from something that doesn't emit light - like a UTH or ceramic heater.

Albino geckos are less resistant to bright lights because of the color of their iris. It would be walking out of a dark movie theatre into the noon sun.

I use a UTH I just want a light for viewing. Should I put the light on a timer to simulate day and night for them?

It doesn't hurt...and it makes sure you don't leave the light on too long. On my display tanks, I have lighting set up on timers, but my rack uses the light of the sun only.

This is going to be a display tank. How long do you leave the light on for? Can you post pics of your display tanks? I just want to see what everyones display tanks looks like

nope, since they are nocturnal, they get their D3 from the food items mixed/dusted with the vitamin
