Is there a limit to conversations? There used to be a limit of 100 private messages, but I dont see anything saying that in the conversation section now.

In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.
Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
Sponsors - Eliminated
Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days
On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.
On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.
Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Might not be any limits on this platform. I remember seeing it as an option when browsing through the admin options, but if so, good change I just set it to UNLIMITED.

I have had not one but TWO conversations about a frog with someone through PM and when I login today both are gone. I never deleted these. Have you heard of anything like this?
I have been whacking 5-10 spam/scam accounts per day for the last few days, so there's one possible reason.

No, but the possibility exists that threads could be accidentally deleted. I know I have done that myself on occasion. Accidents DO happen.
Actually if I used this site's new "spam clean" function when I banned the user it just might have. The old site didn't have that.

The XenForo version that I'm familiar with cleans out all the content of users who have been "spam cleaned" (it also reports their IP, email, and username to 'StopForumSpam', which is a useful tool).
