    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Little Giant® Still Air Egg Incubator

I have a chance to get one of these incubators for next to nothing and wanted to know if they where good for incubating b/p eggs?
 
The Little Giant seems to be similar to Hovabator with regard to appearance, setup, heating element, and thermostat. I personally don't like them (Hovabators), especially for snake eggs, BUT many people do use them with some success.

As far as getting it for next to nothing, thats about what they cost - they retail for about $47; with minimal effort you can find online sellers offering them (new) in the $30-40 range, and can pick up a "like new" one $10-15 on Ebay.
 
If the room I am going to keep the incubator in fluxuates temps to a great degree is this a bad incubator to get?
 
Yes - the wafer thermostat used in that type of incubator works similarly to a rheostat (dimmer). Fluctuations of room temperature will be mean fluctuations of internal temperatures...of course, you could run it through a good thermostat as a secondary control to reduce that.
