• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

I'm planning on picking up a pair of mangrove snakes from LLL reptile soon and I was wondering about anyone else's expierences with LLL and their mangrove snake or just plain customer service and if it's a good idea to go through them. Thanks, Ran Hendrix

there have been a few positives and negatives I've read about LLL. i dont recall reading anything in particular about a mangrove though. in the top right hand section of the BOI listings, search for LLL that will yield all posts about them. I think they have a reasonable guarantee from what I've read.

They have good customer service. I wouldn't worry too much about that. Just communicate with them, try to find out as much as you can about the snake in particular (is it eating? How long has it been in captivity? etc.) before getting it so no surprises.

from what I've read in those threads though, they've always tried to make it right. Plus keep in mind that there are more than just one of their store fronts. So maybe find out which ones are getting a bad review?

I've had decent experiences with them. As a large operation they are not as flexible about some things, say holding on to an animal for a few weeks before shipping, and the animals don't seem to get the same personal touch they would with a smaller business. Merchandise in, merchandise out. If they had an animal i wanted, i couldn't get it anywhere else and it seemed healthy from the pics i would use them. I wouldn't want an animal they've had in their care for any extended period however.

The mangroves are probably WC and could tank on a dime, coming from almost any store, but when I saw the mangroves at LLLs booth at the last Anaheim show they looked good.

Well if something goes wrong at least you know they'll replace them if it's reasonable to do so, like others have said, it's WC so anything is possible. Plan on spending a good chunk of change with a vet trying to remove all the parasites and if you cannot quarantine properly, then I'd steer clear.

I've never purchased Mangrove from them, but have gotten one of their albino Whitewater Rosy boas. I requested a healthy female with a docile temperament and that was exactly what I got. Flawless animal. Great customer service and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again in the future next time they have something I'm looking for.
