Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info LLL Reptile. Not so great.

Threads like this are not pointless when done properly (not becoming belligerent). It gets the problem out there so that responsible companies (in this case LLL Reptile) are able to go through their "safety nets" and ensure that the problem doesn't happen again.

I'm glad to see this worked out well. I have also purchased from LLL Reptile with good results and after reading this I'm certain they will receive more business from me.

I agree Mr. Ashford reported a problem that was resolved. The take away for me was 1. A problem with a small "p" and 2. LLL mved fast, even if twice, to fix it. Yes, a problem, Mr. Ashford, and fair to report, but equally nice to know infrequent and addressed without complaint.

Just for comparisons sake,I ordered a snake hook from them the same day I ordered a pair of snake gloves from a company in florida. The gloves arrived Thurs and I received tracking info on the 31st.;)
 
With the volume of orders they deal this is bound to happen. What's cool about LLL is that they always correct them. You just don't see a bunch of BOI threads of them not following through. keep up the good work Scott!!
 
I don't agree with LLL reptiles dart frog sales program but now that I did see this I would never hesitate to buy from them. As a matter of fact I'm gonna buy stuff now!!
 
Kudos to LLL Reptile! It's refreshing to see a representative of a reptile/supplies business take responsibility--and that in a classy demeanor. That is, he responded without throwing in a handful of F-bombs and two fist-fulls of name-calling and self justifications.

I'm so disappointed with the unprofessionalism of many in our industry.
 
I have dealt quite a bit with lllreptile, my orders were always accurate and on time. I am about to purchase a Mist King from them, and them replying to this post, gives me a warm fuzzy I am dealing with a straight up company. The OP just got that one in a million "oops".

I just received my tracking#, saying it was shipped 4/10 and will arrive 4/16.

Not a big fan of companies that take approx. 2wks to ship an order. I've gotten orders from China in 2wks! Lol
 
I ordered a glass door for a vision cage from them, 2 or 3 weeks later nothing, I called them and they said oh yea well this item needed additional shipping to be paid because of its size. I asked to make sure we are talking about a 12" x 6" piece of glass right? She said yes any thing over 10" is moved to our over sized shipping price. I had already paid $7.99 for ground shipping, they wanted another $7.99 shipping. I asked why did you not call me and let me know you needed me to pay more, and her response was well some people buy stuff and they dont want it for a few months so we thought we would just wait till you where ready for it. WTF!!!! They ended up sending it and not charging me for the other $7.99 shipping and I got it in about 10 days from that conversation. What crap CS!

Likewise. I order large bags of some dry foods from them. I always tell them in a note when I purchase that I am aware I need to be charged more for shipping and I am fine with that, but they always call or email to confirm.

I do the same thing. Everything I've ordered from them has been shipped quickly and they send e-mail when they receive the order and again with a tracking number. When they've contacted me with oversized items, it was always within a day or so.

I would have called them to ask why it took so long. That's definitely not normal for them.
 
Sounds like LLLReptile is on their game, but the OPs stuff just got a fluked. it sucks, but it happens. nothing is perfect :(
This thread, with scott chiming in and taking ownership of the issue, Ill have no problems sending them more orders.
 
may not be a "real" no resolution bad guy post.. however the fact the company DIRECT on this site addressed the customer.. why there is a BOI.. for ones stating oh not worthy.. one dollar or a thousand.. not getting what one was expected or at all is worthy.. LLL reptile also stepped up, kept it simple and admitted and apologized..

sorry excellent customer service.. have seen a bunch of good customer service situations on here.. that don't get noticed in some of the drama. but it is or not there.. simple done.. also keep in mind the company addressed the concern on a PUBLIC cannot be deleted forum.. that also puts a lot of pressure on the company.. that alone says a bit to me.. also...

Also keep in mind a company who will address each case on a public forum.. does put some pressure on them.. so does say something to me..
 
Every experience I have had with LLL has been great. Recently I ordered some extra deli cups and lids as part of an order, but I ordered the lids to a different type of deli cup (similar size, different color). I received a call the next day because they caught it and asked me if I would like to change the order for the slightly more expensive lids that fit better. I asked if the lids would work, and they actually got a lid, got a deli cup and tested it for me (turns out it did work just fine!). It's only a few cents, but that is just good service. They even shipped FedEx home delivery so I received the package quickly on a Saturday. I am a BIG LLL fan, ordering every so often for the last 11 years.
 
I sold LLL 27 Burmese pythons back in 2008, used there shipping account and overnited from Pittsburgh, The whole deal went fantastic, they were great to deal with.
