In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

LLLReptile and Supply Company

I guess my tirade from 2 posts ago doesn't make any sense since "snakeluver" got his post deleted for not using his name. Oh well, another good tirade gone to waste. Hey Neil, got any tirades I can borrow!! <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

LLL

I have ordered quite a few animals from LLL in the past few years, and was completely satisfied with their service, until my last order with them. I believe I even gave praise to this company on one of the old BOI forums.

In my last order, I ordered a pair of macklotts pythons from them, which both had arrived with a respiratory infection. Within the 48 hour timeframe/guarantee that LLLreptile gives, I emailed them about the snakes. Basically, Scott's reply was "put more heat on them and let us know what happens"

To me, this should have sealed the 48 hour guarantee on the snakes, because they arrived sick and LLL was notified. The snakes didn't appear to be getting any better, and I kept in touch via email with Scott on a daily basis about the matter.

Within about a week or so, I felt as if I was getting the run around. Scott's reply was always "our guarantee is obviously expired" If that is so, I feel that he should have offered some type of deal or reimbursment for the snakes when he was notified within the 48 hour period, instead of postponing it and then saying "our guarantee is void now"

After finally telling him that these animals were unacceptable, he agreed to take them back for an exchange, minus the shipping. I did ask him for a refund, because I didn't see anything on his site that I wanted, and he said that it's against his company policy to give refunds.

So, we finally work out a deal on a pair of Kenya sand boas (I had just bought a pair from them a few weeks prior and didn't really need them). So, after paying for the animals, as well as shipping three times, and heat packs, I have over $140 in a pair of baby Kenya sand boas that *MIGHT* be worth $100 retail.

I asked Scott to notify me of how the snakes do in a few weeks, to see if they were ever able to get rid of the resp infection, because as a reptile lover, I was really worried about them. I have not received an email from him since. I would personally still like to know whether they had died or gotten better, etc.

I'm not putting down LLLreptile, because I got some great stuff from it in the past. I just think this deal turned iffy. I mainly wish that I would have had the shipping reimbursed. Scott assured me that he did not know the animals were sick, or he would not have sent them out, and I believe him. So, I don't think this was intentional on his part.

Anyway, I may do business with this company again, because they atleast tried to make things right, for stuff I can't buy locally.

my experience with LLL

LLL is good if you are more concerned with spending less money than you are with the quality of reptile you receive. I purchased a Mali uromastyx about 1 1/2 years ago(transaction went well, animal is doing great). Later on, I purchased 2 tree frogs (1 was emaciated and died 48 hours after I received them the other died within the week) And this year I purchased a bulk order of various invertebrates and everthing was packed in deli cups (I ordered 2 emperor scorpions, 1 hairy desert scorpion, millipedes and centipedes) except 1 emperor. It was in the box in a paper lunch bag!! Needless to say I feel that was a bad judgement call and I no longer order from them. Sometimes you get lucky sometimes you dont.

Will deal with again :)

Just recieved my normal BP from LLL.
Very nice looking animal and was packaged very
nice, even included a heat pack since I live in Wisconsin
and it's in the 80's today.
Scott was very quick in returning emails and recieved
my BP very quickly. Will do business with again. :)

LLL

I've never ordered animals, but I have ordered crickets and supplies and have been nothing but happy. The times I've seen them at the shows I was very pleased also. They are very helpful on the phone and eager to take care of you. I frequent their site and will continue to purchase from them.
:D

LLLReptile do it again :)

I just recieved a baby BCI Boa from LLLReptile.
Awesome looking little guy.
I live in Wisconsin and shipping and recieving reptiles
in January is a very hard thing. I rescheduled the delivery to
a day that was forcasted to be "warmer". Well the weather
took a turn for the worse and it was -5F. The snake was recieved
and I had temp gun in hand expecting the worse.
The temp inside the box was 67.5F and I recieved a very healthy
and alert little Boa. Excellent packing job by LLLReptile! :D
