In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

well are they good to deal with....should i trust them....considering they say they will ship to my door and i live in canada!

Iver ordered from them several times, snakes, crickets and supplies, i live in calif as they do but i don't like the cost of S/H but thats what one gets for ordering animals and need them to arrive safely. But no complaints about them from me.

Jonathon,

I've purchased from them in more than one ocassion. It's always been supplies though so I can't say nothing about their live animals. Everything arrived promptly and in good shape.

Regards

I have purchased from them many times with out any problems. If you are buying live animals it may be up to you to have the propper cites paper work.

I've made several supply purchases from them, and everything has been fine.

I did purchase crickets from them once, and was not very happy with them.

I highly doubt they are going to be able to ship to your door in Canada. Like everyone else has told you on Reptiles Canada, we cannot get live animals delivered to our door using a courier like in the U.S. You must pick the animal up at the airport. But first you have to go to Customs and get them to stamp all of your papers for you to be able to even pick the animal up.

There has been alot of people giving you advice on where you can pick up a Colombian or a Surinam Boa in Canada. If you want to get one from the U.S that is up to you, but you will be paying more for the CITES, U.S. Fish and Wildlife inspection, and shipping than you will on the animal.

Plus, you could possibly be waiting for up to and possibly over 6 months for the CITES papers to come in. That means the person you buy the animal from will not be able to ship the animal to you untill the papers come in.

All in all, if you are not buying a really expensive animal/animals, or trying to get something that we do not have here in Canada, there is no point in getting it from the States or elsewhere. You might as well wait it out, and get what you want here.

Anyone else having trouble with their web page today? I need to order a 150 w rheostat and 40-h heat packs and the page won't load! Any other source for those? AAA is not carrying the 40-h heat packs.

Thanks.

AAA is not carrying the 40-h heat packs.

I meant to say Big Apple Herpetological! And yes, they were carrying the heat packs. I'm not sure why I couldn't get into LLL web page today.

Regards.

My only gripe with LLL reptile is that they misreprsented some of their animals at a recent reptile show. They told a customer of mine that their Oustlets and Fischer's chameleons were captive bred and free of parasites when they are obviously imports. I recommended a fecal and sure enough they were full of parasites. I overheard them telling the same story to other people as well. These are not beginner chameleons by any means but many people bought them because they were cheap thinking they had captive bred chameleons. I have no problem with imports if they are honestly reprsented and the customer is aware of the challenges.

I just completed a transaction with them.. Shipping ontime product as described.. No hassles at all.... This was an order for supplies.. I have no info on live animals.. I will be a repeat customer

I bought velvet geckos from them at 2 different times. Smooth transaction and they even took time to answer questions from me :) I would order from them again!

oops my bad, got them confused with a diff company LOL that above post can be deleted

They were at a show in AZ earlier this year and one of their Vine Snakes was having a tough time trying to cough up some aspen that had lodged in it's mouth. When I informed the lady working the table, she scowled at me then promptly picked up the deli cup the snake was in and put it at the bottom of the stack!!!

Out of sight out of mind, I guess...

Never done any business with them, but that made a pretty bad impression on me.
