Ah to be young and dumb. At 19, you're nowhere near close to a PhD. Before going to the "big time" at a university, you may want to take a remedial English class at Butler. TAMU generally doesn't admit folks who can't distinguish between their & there to their graduate program.

I wonder what what the various Associate Deans at TAMU would say about you misrepresenting yourself as a Doctorate. Ethics issues tend to be career & education killers, Taron. All I need do is phone or email Tim Scott or James Holste, and your dreams of matriculating at TAMU could be dashed. By a funny coincidence, I happen to spend a bit of time in Austin during my travels, which is only ~100 miles from College Station.

Everything is solved now and yes i regret what happened but as for me ever doing business again i won't and i won't be in reptiles much longer. My brother has owned and run a pet shop for 10 years and will bring everyone good business to come unlike his nieve little brother. I have grown up now and i am through with my childish things. It's not your business, so don't involve that business' name with yours!!! Get a clue! How would the business get "trashed" if you hadn't given people a reason to trash it. You need to stop now before you ruin stuff not only your yourself, but for the rest of your family.

Ok, you've accused me of quite a lot in the past, but this is the first that I know of any Azureus pairs. And that disease? Yeah, you had some animals at my house. Your brother kept frogs in deli cups for about 5 days for shows. They developed a bacterial infection. Even someone who isn't a doctor should know that you can't keep dart frogs in deli cups for an extended period of time. Bacterial infections can be quite contagious, and that infection whacked almost every frog you and your brother had, and it killed some of mine. And as far as me having your animals still in my house...????? Well, considering that I haven't even been living at a place that allows any frogs, that's most likely impossible. If you can provide any proof of any of your claims, or any evidence for that matter, please show it to everyone here and make me look like a complete....well..., make me look like you do now.

It truly amazes me that Taron has convinced himself that he is pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. It really is a shame that he does not wake up, open his eyes, and get himself straight. It is obvious that he will NEVER learn nor will he become an honest buisness person. I honestly hope that all these lies and stories that he keeps coming back with show everyone his true self. I suppose Taron has proof that he made good on the deal gone bad with me too. He promised to send me another male uroplatus sikorae as soon as temperatures permitted and then vanished. When the weather improved, he stopped returning any of my emails and I never got another Uroplatus. He was, is and will always be a "bad guy". Taron and other people like him are what give this business a bad name. I have never wronged anyone in all of the dealing I have done, and i never will. I will always make the customer as satisfied as possible. If anyone is ever disatisfied, I will make it right as do most of the people who come to this board. I have done a lot of online business and I have been lucky enough because of this board to have only had about 3 bad experiences and my experience with Taron was the first and the worst. He is obviously very immature for his age if he does not think people can see through his lies. One day he will be behind bars if he doesn't get his act together and we will all be paying for his incarseration expenses as tax payers.

I know for a fact what happend. I'm his brother, Troy Langhover, 27. I own Pet World of Newton. The scams he pulled are true. The things that have been left out are: all that where owed where paid by our parents. The disease out break did not come from being in a cup for 5 days. Due to the fact that the show which I took them to was a 2-day show. The frogs, originally came from Vanishing Jewels, Texas Reptiles and CB distribution. No one knows where the disease came from. One idea was bacteria infection and the other is stress from moving. I think it came from one frog that was stressed to the point of infection. Whatever the reason for spreading everything that came in contact with it was infected. That type of bacteria infection ate the frogs skin from outside in.

On the subject of Taron he has srewed himself bad. He knows that now. He is going to school in Eldorado and is doing very well. Sometimes when people screw up they don't know how to fix it right away. Every body that we know of has been taken care of.
As for Lucas that is between the two of them they were friends once upon a time. When the two of them went behind my back and started selling frogs and reptiles using my connections it pissed me off. I told them to stop but they did not listen. It has turned ugly for the both of them. If it wasn't for them stealing and using my wholesale accounts none of this would of been possible. Taron has screwed me more times than all of you combined. I have lost more than anyone but we all have to start over again. I'm not saying to forgive him.

I have posted the ads on kingsnake not him. He has no part in the business. All he is doing is posting the information on the websites and along with my computer work. If you don't like it fine.

Also: Why is it wrong for someone to buy reptiles from someone else? Taron is not trying to sell reptiles but trying to purchase reptiles for me. If he was selling I could understand you not wanting to buy from him. For your peace of mind I use paypal and that is a bullet proof. YOU may ask all the people that I have done business with. They will tell you I'm a man of my word and you can check me on that. I've been in the biz for 15yrs and owned my own busness for 7yrs. I will give you a list of people that I do business with. By the way slander is a leagal action that can be taken on a person, if their words have or will have an effect on a busniess or its potental income if not backed by leagal facts and evidence. legal action may be taken.

Troy-- Good Luck with your business. You'd probably be better off getting someone else to buy stuff for you other than your said brother. When people have done so many others bad, it really soesn't matter if they come back selling or buying. They put a mark upon themseleves as a "Bad Guy" and most anyone who knows of them will definately not do business with them either way.

Please take some time to point out the law to your attorney in relation to entities that are running open forums on the Internet. I have a link provided on my RULES page that you are welcome to use and print out for your attorney, if he/she is not familiar with that aspect of public law.

You are certainly welcome to utilize your attorney to file suit against me, but please bear in mind that in so doing, YOU will then be guilty of attempting to violate the law, and I will be perfectly within my rights to file a countersuit against you. This will make two things happen: (1) You will lose your lawsuit, and I will win mine, (2) I will become famous as the person running a message board specifically to weed out people that are preying on other people in the herp business and being attacked by one of the people mentioned on this board (you).

This will certainly get a lot of publicity, not to mention a lot of support, not only from the herp community, but also from every organization in the country interested in preserving the freedom of speech to people posting on a public medium. I dare say this will be come front page news in many publications. Something similar happened a while back involving a cricket supplier and a person with a complaint against this company. Ok, I have a few facts about this situation to maybe help some people out. I'm not guessing here with the material provided, these are things that I know or have a very good idea of.

First, let me say that yesterday I emailed Troy to let him know what Taron has been up to, so he could do something about it if he decided he wanted to. Taron had already brought up his brother's name, so I figured his brother should know. That's why Troy is here, and I have no reason to believe that it is not Troy.

Troy, I was curious as to how you've owned a business for 7 years... I was thinking about that and it didn't make much sense. Here's why... I worked at that store under your parents, Dwayne, Pam, and your brother Tad. This was around 3 years ago I would say. I'm not positive on that, but I am certain that it's been no where near 7. During this time, if I remember correctly, you were going to school somewhere in Arizona. So, how you ran a pet store in Newton, KS is beyond me. Then, you came back, started managing the store, and I was no longer needed with you working there. Is this all correct? I guess I could be wrong...but, it just doesn't add up.

As far as being able to sue someone... Well, anyone can sue basically anyone for whatever the heck you want. Winning is a totally different matter.

And just so you know Troy, the reason that I left the part out about your mom paying me back is because from what I understand that was something that she did on her own, and I didn't/don't even know if Taron knows about it. She sent a short letter with the money, and from reading the letter, it didn't sound like Taron knew or was really supposed to. So, basically Taron never did anything to make it right, but his mom did it for him.

The disease: Well, this is basically a non-issue, and is basically irrelevant here. What YOU told me that your vet told you was that they developed a bacterial infection most likely because they were in cups for too long and from being kept in unsanitary conditions. No, I obviously can't prove that the disease came from that, but I was just going off of what you and your vet told me. And until there is a better explanation, that's what happened in my mind.

Ok, now the issue of me selling things behind your back. Well, tell me what I did. From what I understand, you are refering to an order that I almost made to Vanishing Jewels, but then did not because I had this bacterial infection at my house that stemmed from your frogs. I had been in contact with Vanishing Jewels long before you ever made any purchase from them. If you're telling me that I couldn't have heard of Vanishing Jewels except through you, you're mistaken. They are one of the most well-known names in the "dart frog business." They have an article printed in Reptiles Magazine. Their buiness shows up when searching for dart frogs on numerous search engines. And I think what you were mad about was me selling to a pet store that is around 1 hour away from your store and doesn't even compete against it. And what obligation would I have ever had to you?? I wasn't working for you, I had never worked for you in the past. Why would I pick and choose who I sell to based on what you perceive as "competition?" The only other frogs I have purchased from someone that you have purchased from is from Claude Davis. And you had complete knowledge of Taron and me buying from him. That was not "stolen," and I've never heard you claim that it was....

And Troy, I completely realize that it is not Taron's store. I emailed you yesterday because I thought you should know that Taron had been referring to you and Pet World.

And so you know.... Pay pal is not "bullet proof." If you remember correctly, Taron used paypal to scam thousands of $$ from people. Not exactly bullet proof in my eyes....

I for one will never buy from anyone that threatens a lawsuit at the drop of a hat like both Langhovers have now done. I'm not "attaching" either company but all the stupid lawsuits these days make me sick.

Troy, glad you came on here to clear things up a bit. There might be some confusion remaining, but at least you've given us your side.

One thing though....you might really want to consider what Taron's involvement in your business will result in. Buying or selling, it doesn't matter. He's proven himself dishonest to many people. Ever heard of "guilt by association"? You're right, he's screwed up in the past, and apparently as recently as this week. He doesn't seem to differentiate between right and wrong very well.

I understand he's your brother, you love him, you can get past it all, but other people may not, and to be professionally affiliated with Taron... well, good luck.

If there's a discrepancy in the timeline as far as how long you've owned your own business....just clear that one up. When it comes down to it, it's not the number of years that matters, but the quality of the deals you've done. Don't embellish the dates to try to gain more credibility, it doesn't work.

Kim, it seems like Taron's family may not know about your deal. I can't imagine why they'd take care of other people and not everybody, unless they only took care of the deals that would send Taron to jail.

I have a soft spot in my heart for teenagers who make bad choices, I really do, but Taron....he just doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes. Maybe he should be forced to deal with his own consequences now that he's legally an adult.
