    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Look what I got yesterday!

Some girl found this snake in her basement covered in dryer lint a few weeks ago. She was going to keep it but she couldn't get it to eat. I got it, a practically new 10 gal tank, light hood, water dish, hide rocks etc for $10. She only wanted $5 but I gave 10 just to be fair. :)

He's really pretty. I'm thinking he is a male by the look of his tail but don't have a way to check to be sure. He's a really pretty gray with dark brick red marking.

I believe we will be naming him Schroeder. :?party:

I love eastern milks! I ended up with one a few years ago under similar circumstances, it was found in a friend's sisters garage in February. I kept him until spring was completely set in and let him go in an area where I have found more of them.

I've never seen one around here. She said she took it to a pet store and they told her it was a corn snake. She sent me that picture and I never questioned the corn snake theory until I saw it in person. I tried to feed it a f/t pinky today... even brained it but he still refused it. I happened to have nightcrawlers in the fridge so am trying them as we speak. I'm thinking that he would probably take a live pinky but I won't have one of those for a week or so.

It will probably turn it's nose up at the crawler, but I'm sure it won't hurt it to wait a week for a live pinky.

I had a student bring me one of those "cornsnakes" as well. They do look very similiar, but that is an Eastern Milksnake, like the previous poster mentioned. It will darken with age. Good luck getting it to eat.
ps) You might want to check the legality of keeping it.

It's legal in Michigan to keep them, as long as it's not harvested for commercial purposes, no worries.
