Hello Folks,
This is the first time I've made a post on Fauna, and really any reptile site, but desperate times require desperate measures. I have a female Savu Island python I would really like to try to get into a breeding program before it's too late. She is roughly 20 years old and has never been bred. I acquired her in the early 2000s as a sub adult from a random Craigslist post in Orange Park, Florida (yes I know...bringing back the old school lol). I got a pair from the person to try to include in a small colony I had gotten of adult imports from around 1995ish when they briefly imported. Long story short, actually ever producing them eluded me and the rest of the animals I had have passed since. I just adore this species so much. They are so unique and so under appreciated. My point here is to hopefully find someone somewhere in the United States that is working with this species or even better, has produced them that can get her genetics added to the gene pool! of course I would like to get some of the offspring but those kind of details can all be worked out. I do want to add that this animal is dearly cared for so I will be quite picky and references will be required. I've been in this hobby for 35 years. If there's not one single person willing to give you a reference that I can also verify then please don't waste my time. I am happy tp provide photos once references have been verified.
Appreciate your time and please spread the word!
