In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Last minute change of plans - I was unable to attend.
I'm looking for feedback from both customers and vendors...How was the show?
Attendance? Sales?

I'm interested in vending in September, so I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

Well I can tell you the attendance was very good. There will be pictures posted from the show that should give an idea of how many people came through. A very steady stream of people. My estimated guess is over 1500 people attended the show. I can speak for Azo Reptiles and Simple Animal Tracker and both of them did very well, and both will be at the September show.

Thanks, Tom.
Kind of surprised that nobody else - whether vendor or attendee - has any feedback.

These types of threads are not viewable on the main screen so unless someone is actively looking to post in here I don't think many will. But if you go to www.herpnerds.com and go to the guestbook you will see all the positive things vendors and attendees had to say about the show. Also on their facebook page there are a lot of responses to how well the show went as well as pictures. I'm sure the September show is going to be amazing, most of the vendors that were there already renewed their tables for the next show.

Jarrad here from SimpleAnimalTracker and we did very well. In my opinion the turnout was great and I have already reserved a spot for September. The customers had good things to say as well when I was out walking around talking to people.

i purchased a spider female ball at a great price.. So Im happy. I wasnt as big as the white plains expo but i was not dissapointed, I wish more vendors would have showed up in my opinion. there was alot of people that came to the show. I will def attend the next show no doubt in my mind

One thing to put into perspective is it was the first show unlike White Plains which is well established and has been around for a while now, so for the first show it was pretty damn good. As for vendors, due to it being the first show a lot of vendors were skeptical, but I think the next show will have more vendors based on the success of this show.

Hope when you do the shows that you do not have the same product as everyone else. Some people have over choked the market with balls, beardeds, leo geckos, etc. Hope that when you do though, all goes well for you there. Good to hear that there is still some success out there for good vendors. I haven't done a show in a quick minute, too much time out in the field collecting introduced exotics here in S.Fla. We supply several of the big importer/exporters here.Let us know if we might have anything here intrest to you and we might be able to help when the shows come up.C.B. and wild caughts if needed. Good luck to all vendors in you upcoming event in Sept.Thanx GEO!

Mr Ward - advertising is not allowed in the discussion areas. If you wish to talk about supplying animals for shows, please use the classifieds.

With the second show coming up soon, and me tossing around the various "local" options for things I want/need; another question came to mind.
Are live feeders (rodents) available? Some venues don't allow weaned rodents (for obvious reasons); but I've got a couple of problem feeders, so I'd like to grab some stuff if I make the trip.

I remember seeing frozen next to my table, I thought there was something prohibiting live in NY. If there isnt I can bring you some. Will have to check with the NY guys.

I don't know if it is a state health regulation, or related to the type of facility. I know that only nestling rodents are allowed at the WP show (the basic idea being nothing that can survive if it gets dropped, left behind, etc).

The thing is, I've got it in my head that I want to purchase a few snakes; and there are basically 3 shows to choose from. Poughkeepsie, being a new show, is likely to be the smallest; so I'm not sure the selection will be there (which could be good - or bad - for pricing, lol)...but, I am already off that weekend, that part is easy.
I'd hate to make the almost 4 hr drive to PA, just for some rodents....it would be more cost effective to buy them at the pet store, lol (though I don't think they have ASFs).

the last show there were no live rodents... I drove out there thinking i could pick up rats and/or asf's i left with nothing..... I hope somebody brings rodents i can def use feeeeders

You aren't allowed by law to have "eyes open" live rodents on the table. You can sell pinkies and fuzzies but nothing bigger. If you are looking for live rodents they can be brought to the show but not sold at the table. That's not to say you can't meet someone outside and buy live rodents. Just not in the building. There are a few vendors that do sell live rodents so I would try to work something out with them before the show.
