    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm really taken with the White Lip Pythons, specifically, Leiopython hoserae. Having a hard time finding any available ones in the states though. Anyone got any clues?

Looking for a breeder? Or importer/farm raised supplier? Im sure Global Captive Breeder would have them

I would prefer CB, but if WC is all that's available, I can work with it. Does this company have a website? I'm googling it and seem to be getting hundreds of results, but none look like it might be their company site.

have u checked out pet bazaar in casselburry yet? I think last time i was there they had one or 2 small ones. Im sure even if they didnt have one im sure they could find one for u.

If you're specifically looking for a hoserae, then I'd suggest you be well educated on how to differentiate between them.

One reason they are difficult to find is they were described by Raymond Hoser in 2000. Most everyone with any experience simply ignores anything Hoser proposes because he's constantly trying to split genera and create new species in an attempt to name new ones after his friends or family. His proposals rarely have any credibility whatsoever.
His methods are normally questionable at best and at times downright foolish. No one in the field recognizes any new species he suggests on the sole basis that he proposed it.

In this particular case however, a more thorough study was conducted by Wulf Schleip in 2008 which lent some credibility to the division. However, since it was originally described by Hoser, it's still not a fully accepted species. In time it may become accepted as a new species, but the scientific work is still too recent for it to be broadly used. That means there is probably some specimens out there that would be considered to be hoserae but are still labeled as Leiopython albertisii

Nick Mutton is working with Leiopython hoserae as it is currently accepted by those who who support the division.

Thanks for the input - I was under the impression that the black phase was L. hoserae, the gold phase was L. albertisii, and that there was one more called L. barkeri (about which I have found next to no information).

At any rate, I find myself taken with the black phase (whichever species it happens to be!). I like both phases that I have seen, but the blacks are spectacular. If I am unable to procure a black, I would be happy to 'settle' for a gold.

I didn't even think to check Pet Bazaar - they usually have some pretty off the wall stuff. I'll look into it. There is also a herp show next month I might be able to score some contact information. I have tracked down lots of people with gold phase WLPs for sale (breeders, and private alike.)
