    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

petco

Please excuse the duplication of this post from the other thread about Petco leopard geckos. If you got these beautiful tangerine babies from Petco, please have a stool sample taken in for a parasite check ASAP, and don't forget to quarantine!!!

Bill and Marcia Brandt (Gourmet Rodent) have been supplying leopard geckos wholesale to Petco for years... that is why you can sometimes find some real 'screamer' tangerines there. Here in California, many stores do go through CalZoo as a secondary source, though. I have a young friend that works for a local Petco here in my area, and says that much of the stock they get from both suppliers comes in sick and they lose a large number of them... not to mention folks who bought them bringing them back dead.

Also, suprisingly for those who are unaware, Ron Tremper supplies wholesale leos to PetsMart under his 'other' business, C.R.A.P. (Center for Amphibian and Reptilian Propagation).

Since we're posting petco acquisitions...

I picked these up at Petco here in Milwaukee this week for $20 each (With PALS card). They'll be getting fecals done this upcoming week, and obviously will be quarentined. I didn't ask who they get them through up here... but it would be interesting to find out though. It looks like the last one had a bad shed so I'm trying to keep humidty levels up for the guys/girls. All seem to be eating already. I just though while we're talking about petco, I'd chime in quick. :D

Here's my lil Petco guy. He's not a tangerine or anything, i would consider him a high yellow, but he is too cute and doing great, even fathered a couple babies who are doing good as well :) I am the reptile specialist at my petco, and i always get first pic of the baby geckos that come in (we get em from gourmet rodent). Unfortunately we havent gotten in any screamers yet (we've been open a little less than a year) but i am always looking. In fact, i dont think we have ever had a leo die, and im not just makin that up to make my store look good, heh. I do have an awesome deep bright orange tangerine i bought from Petsmart when i used to work there, i cant believe how awesome she is, she is mainly solid orange with a few very faded spots on her back. I'll get recent pics one of these days of her :)
