    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

it seems that the eggs I have in the incubator are just duds. I currently have 3. One egg went bad and I found two that she had buried deep in the vermiculite that dried out(I have no idea how long those 2 were there, most likely 2 days). The one egg I slit and it just had white milky fluid. I'm keeping the temps at 84, but with the heat lately it, it has fluctuated between 84-86. I have a hovabator so I do check the temps regularly thoughout the days. Any ideas on how I can keep the 3 I have left right now? I did candle them and I don't think they are fertile either, but I am still going to keep them. This is her first breeding so I know the eggs could be infertile. Thanks for the info. I just want to get the hang of this before I try again next year.

If you keep their humidity hide nice and damp all the time you wont have to worry about not seeing the eggs as soon as they lay them and have them dry out. I typically check their hide every other day for eggs and to make sure its damp enough.
When you candle them and see a mass or red lines they are fertile. If you see nothing inside after 7 days chances are they are infertile.

holding temps in the summer months is always fun, this year I'm using a 20 oz coke bottle full of water that I have in the hovabator, that and also adding AC to my gecko room has made temp changes a thing of the past. I also check and spray there humid hides everyday through out the breeding season.

I lost them all!!!

:bawling: unfortuantely I lost all my eggs, all got moldy and collapsed. Again I slit them and they were nothing but that milky white stuff. Momma looks like she'll be laying another 2 eggs for me soon too. God I hope I save the two that come next

Sorry to hear that, Jessica.

I too lost a clutch I was looking forward to (Bell x Jungle) this past week. The hatchlings made it full term, each put a single slit in their shell and died. Very disappointing. :(

This has been my first breeding season as well. In my girl's very first clutch I had one egg hatch out an adorable little guy/gal! But every single one after that has been infertile and colapses after a few days. My female contunues to lay eggs, and I contunue to hope that I will get another little treasure, but its looking like this first year it will be just the one. But I know the first year is often like this, so Im happy with just that one!! Good luck to you, and we can both keep our fingers crossed for good eggs!
