In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Lost ball python, so sad...

Yeah peoplw lose snakes cause of irresponsiblity but hey im guilty. When we first started our pastel female got out of her 10 gallon tank in the living room one night. Found her 4 months later still healthy and now she is over 1500 grams and will breed this season. We all are irresponsible sometimes.

The funny part is hoping someone will see the lost snake roaming a, and call, like a lost dog.

Yeah that is funny. Hopefully they will learn from their mistake and someone will come along and give them some pointers on proper husbandry. Problem with people now a days is that they dont take advice very well.

The post is funny Robert. Hey! I misplaced my toothbrush....if anyone finds it could you please call me?!

:[ It seems to happen to people at least once, i actually lost a cinny girl named pepper awhile back. D: She had just eaten a large rat about 2 days before her escape. Found her nearly 3 months later passed to what seemed of dehydration.

I think one things certain, you dont know how much these animals rely on you, until you find one in the coldest room of the house, passed of dehydration, when water was available not even three feet away.

Yet wow..like you stated, someones going to call likes its a lost dog. lol

It's easy to pass judgement & make blanket statements that people "lose" snake due to being irresponsible or sub par husbandry practices...but, while it may be true in many cases, I don't think it should be assumed. Maybe the subject just hits close to home, because there was a while that I had a lot of escapes. Was it due to my irresponsibility? Only to the extent that I didn't stop using those racks sooner (IMO)... but nobody else seemed to have that problem with them. It hasn't been a problem since I took them out of service; so I'm inclined to call it an equipment issue.
Of course, the vast majority of those were merely escapes - only a handful got elevated to "missing" status, and only 2 were designated as lost (and one of those was eventually found).

Yeah harald you make a good point. My escapee was an irresponsibility on my part as a beginner. I have since learned since then. Did have another time where our enchi male somehow squirmed and pushed the tub open next day my gf screamed while she was getting in the shower! He had climbed up our soap and shampoo holder. Now we do like ralph davis and put the poles in the front and a 2x4 running down the back to make dang sure there is no escapees due to the rack. Goodpoint!
