Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well look I have spoken to many python breeders about the matter without name dropping, Heat packs peak at 115 degrees not 80 like you had said, now you are gonna tell me the spider is sold that just shows that you really don't care about your costumers. You got your $350. You have people posting on both sides. You blamed me anyway because you think i wasnt home sorry I was im not gonna take that bullshit. Keep your snakes I don't give a shit dude. You killed the snake with a heat pack in 80-90 degree weather

Eddy.... I have to ask.

Everything that I have seen thus far that has been posted (emails and such) you state there was A heatpack in the box.

Be honest... was it A (1) heat pack or 2 heat packs in the box?

Ed i would sugest calling the seller one more time and try to work it out. this thread is going no where, and you are basically black listing yourself with every one that reads these. unfortunatly i do not agree with that, but as i am sure you already know no one can fix this problem but yourself and the seller so be the bigger man call him and try to resolve it if he still refuses then i would say you have a very good case for a bad guy post. imo

Seriously come on are you kidding me????????? He said to me I have nothing else to offer you. $100 more for the other snakes is not fair because who pays $450 for a normal female???????? Yes a baby spider is a spider non the less but its not what i originally purchased. You don;t order a a full size fridge and it breaks and replace it with a mini fridge seriously.

I spoke to Lou I originally just wanted my refund he said no, I said then how about partial he said no. He offered the snakes I said let me get back to you then he gets mad at a thread with no name states he sells the spider in the same day he offered it. Now all he has a is a normal female that i have to pay $100 more for? Forget about the pinstripe I see as a male breeder if it costs more then I will so no I don't want it because i'm not looking for more than I deserve. The pinstripe was never mentioned in the phone calls because I never intended to get another snake from him.

Stop saying im looking for more please because im not and can we just stay focused on the issue and not make accusation that have no substance.

Again, I dont know what deals were transpired between the two of you because there is no written proof. And like I said, if he was offering the male baby spider AND the breeder-sized female for 100.00 shipping, that would be more than fair. As for offering you the other spider for 100.00, basically, he offered you the baby for 50.00 plus 50.00 shipping and you needed to think about it?

I said 3 heat packs in the box, if you had seen earlier posts I had found the 2 additional heat packs when I decided to throw away the box which was a at night right before I left for work(night Shift).

I have no reason to make it up when even with one heat pack the snake should be still alive if it were in optimal condition for shipping

You don't understand this is my first time getting into these snakes, I don't carry snakes. Yes I had to think about it because regardless if it was $50 for the snake and $50 shipping thats $100 more that what I should have to pay anyway. I was unsure due to the experience if I even wanted to pursue breeding snakes after this experience. If you can;t understand that then i'm sorry I dont know what to tell you but its not as easy as you make it out to be. Forking over another $100 after you feel like you lost $350 is not as easy as you keep making it to be without consulting yourself.

You don't jump into buying things without figuring out if its worth it or have the funds, I wasnt just gonna be like yea here my other $100 send the snake.

What if the replacement snake arrived dead too and I got it first attempt? I'm out $450 do I then take the normal female for another $100?

I have spent quite a bit of money with Lou. He is an honest seller. I hate to see someone attempt to bash his reputation. I cannot say I witnessed this transaction. I can tell you this for fact: Lou does NOT rip people off. I do not believe that Lou shipped an unhealthy animal, or even a dead one Fyi. If Lou said he was going to sell this guy another spider at a discounted price. He is good for it. Something must have transpired after the offer was made to cause Lou to change his mind. Filing paypal claim against Lou could possibly be a reason.

I find it most difficult to believe Lou shipped a snake with not two, but three heat packs. I know he ships regularly and has shipped snakes for me as well without any problems or issues. Bashing someone on this forum without fact discredits both sides without merit. Delayed allegations by the buyer raise my suspicions. I personally would not sell this buyer anything after seeing fact of not responding to the 1st attempt. Which us fact. Yes there is a dead snake which again is fact. Three heat packs mentioned later and not immediately, after a undesired response from paypal, to me Seems suspicious. Would giving the buyer his money back solve anything at this point, probably not. Im a firm belever if the buyer was home and concerned with a safe delivery he would have ensured that the snake was picked up on the 1st attempt.

I will continue to buy quality animals from Lou Rodriguez. He is a reputable breeder. If you want something bad enough you will make provisions to ensure safe delivery. I have taken off time from work to ensure That a newly squires snake is safely delivered to my home. If Ups allegedly did not knock or make a 1st attempt, how is that the sellers fault? Bash a seller and expect him to comply with your demands. It scares me to think that there are buyers that let delivered animals sit 4 hours or more in the hot pachage are on a UPS truck.
I refuse to believe Lou would ship the snake with 3 het packs.

Eddie, what I am getting at is that he seemed very willing to work with you, in the begining. He actually seemed to want to meet you halfway when it came to the new price of the baby spider, which is more than what you have right this moment, considering shipping.

Personally, I would really like to see the two of you hash out some sort of deal here to make each other satisfied. Eddie, you should try to contact the seller, like Craig said and see if he is willing to listen. You might need to swallow some pride as well as beg a little but I dont see Lou here as being unreasonable.

Lou...
Really take into consideration that this WILL affect your business as well too. The one thing that I always say is, it isnt how you handle business on the front end, its how you handle your business when there is an issue. Take a hit now, but, generate a ton of respect and a lot more customers willing to take a chance on you because of how you handle adversity. Meet the man halfway with some sort of snake deal that doesnt hit you in the pocket with a refund.

I havent read all the posts yet but anybody who believes the extra heat packs has to be kidding me, do you really think its that hard to come up with a couple extra heat packs and take a picture or tape them with the red line out. And I would like to know 1 situation out of the 100 that would prevent you from calling within 5 minutes of getting a DOA.

Hey I need you to call me Im about to go to work. pm sent with my phone #. I apologize for jumping on this thread.

To me, buying a snake that has to be shipped should be the same as buying a snake and having the person put it in your hands. The seller has the responsibility to the snake, and to the buyer, to deliver a live, happy and healthy animal. Unless there is substantial negligence on the buyer's side, it is completely up to the seller to get the animal to the buyer alive.

So not only are you too busy to watch for a delivery, you also have decided that with no snake experience, what-so-ever, that you were jumping right into breeding high dollar pythons??

Let me guess.... you were going to pick up a breeder male and some normal girls.... Throw them together and in 3 months cash in on your investment?

Now I see where your attitude about the money comes in....

Tell the truth were you too busy to wait on the porch..... or were you still sleeping??

Not sure Id call a spider a high dollar python.

More expensive than a normal... yes.... but it is still on the lower end of the price range when it comes to BP's.

To my knowledge you breed to get what u initially want to get into later. If i breed a spider to a normal i get spiders and normals. Where is the top dollar? You build off what u have trade for what u want sell and buy what u want.

Why would i be sleeping? Stop making accusations that make no sense and stick to the point. I dont work tuesday-thursday no point sleeping in when i sleep durinh the day on work days. Like i. Said stay on point please. Regardless there r 3 other people home in my household capable of signing if UpS showed up.

Point is still there..... BP breeders needed..... No experience necessary.

Was his plan to breed new acquisitions without any quarantine? What is the difference if it was a 700g or 200g male right now? They will both be up to size by next season....

I just think he is lying about things he doesn't need to lie about. What is he hiding?

For some unknown reason, I think your 100 percent right. I would have been more than pleased that the seller was going to replace my spider with another for 50 plus 50 shipping than all of the bad mouthing and claim filing. I too would be insulted and angered if I read all of the bad mouthing if it was about me. I would retract my offers.

Was this for a spider male? if so males can breed at an early age.........what is the big deal? You dont need a 1500 gram male or an 800 gram male for that matter unless you are breeding today.

I am staying on point, what was more important than that spider that morning??

Honestly I can sit in my house and watch TV all day with the front do right next to me and if the guy doesnt knock Ill never know he ever came. Even if he did, that could have been the 2 min it took me to let my dog out in the back yard. And I dont think any of you are sitting on the porch like a puppy waiting for your master to get home.

My point being, in REAL life, things happen. Honest mistake are made by you and me and everyone else. Like everyone keeps mentioning, proper preparation for shipping is the key. The seller said he packed for the 30+ deg whether he was in. He never thought (seemingly) about the 80+ deg weather the buyer was in.

I have more to say but honestly Im just tired of making the same points.... and hearing the same points being made...

Good luck Ed....
Good luck Lou...

I bid you adieu....

And if your UPS guy had a history of doing it wouldn't you probably bring that up before shipping and not after?
