    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Love the smell of eggs in the morning!

Been a lot going on since I was last online for any length of time. Just got home from two weeks in paradise. Lots of hiking, herping, canoeing, swimming and fishing. A buddy of mine has about 2 acres, roughly an hour outside of Indy, real close to Cataract Lake. Nothing but a "shelter" on the property along with a well and an outhouse. No electricity or modern plumbing. No TVs, no PCs and extremely piss poor cell phone reception when there is any at all.

Picture a big open 20' by 30' area with a partially wood plank and partially dirt floor, a vaulted roof and exterior walls that are just screen material. In the middle is the well/sink along with a circa 1900 "icebox", a couple of big stainless prep tables and an old cast iron pot belly stove. 2 old, obviously hand made bunk beds on each end of the shelter. Not another house or human being for at least a mile. Like I said, PARADISE!

About every two days I would take the 2 hour round trip back into Indy and check on the critters and go back. Well I had 3 new clutches right before we originally left and came home this morning to find another. So that is 6 clutches in all on the season.

One of the clutches was from a Pied to Het Pied and 2 others were from my gay Albino male!! Finally after 4 years of breeding him and getting nothing he finally came through. He is one of my very favorite snakes. Ever. So him finally becoming a daddy has made this whole breeding season worthwhile to me.

So that is 2 Pastel, 2 Albino, a Pied and a dinker clutch so far this year. Looking at maybe 3 or 4 more Pied clutches before it is all said and done and that should be it for the year.

Hope everyone else is out enjoying the Summer as much as they can and are having good seasons!

6 clutches so far and you've been staying in Paradise, you are so lucky! Hope your summer keeps on rockin' and good luck with your clutches yet to come!

Thanks everyone!

Well I tried stretching staying out at the lake through the 4th of July holiday, but when I came home to check on the critters yesterday I found snake heads a pippin'. After almost a month of hiding in the woods I guess it is time to come back to reality. Although I have to say, the last month out in the sticks has done nothing but reinforce my desire to get a house on a good ten acres (at least) out in the sticks and get the hell out of the city once and for all.

Anyway, the first snake left the egg last night right before lights out and I found a second one this morning. The first was a real nice looking Pastel and the second was a pretty little normal. Babies just plain never get old. Get that same excited warm fuzzy feeling every egg, every year.

I will toss some pics up later today since it looks like my impromptu month long camping trip seems to be coming to an end. And just when me and that damn raccoon was finally starting to come to an understanding....
