Yes, that name may or may not be real.

I actually suspected that it might be somebody that had a lot to say against Wendy in the past, so I checked IPs right after she started posting in that thread. The IP is unique here, and has been the same for all her posts.

She's obviously a very bitter person. And from what I know, is not honest. My guess is that the admin here might be able to find a match to some earlier entity that might explain her nonsense. Its a shame folks have to carry this kind of stupidity into the holidays.

One thing that I did find, though....
I had tried to do an IP location check, and it kept coming back as an invalid IP. I don't know if that means anything, but the ISP is out of Spokane (of all places)

If someone is going to come here making accusations, while it may be difficult to obtain proof certain that someone is who they say they are, with the above admission, is it not now "walking ... talking" like a duck ? Is it not absurd even, to change your name because of the fraud of another, then post here about it using the new name ? This ain't a toughie.

Well, although I didn't start the thread, you are curious ! This entity is using an alias in this forum to tarnish the business reputation and integrity of others. I don't know all the places that they have posted, but I know of at least one where they cast aspersions on my integrity. Having them in their very own thread alerts others that this person may be running to different threads, and is an alias and a liar. As this person is lying about the business of others, right here in this forum, I was under the impression that was more than an appropriate reason.

Secondly, the issue here is this person being a liar and an imposter, not proving that every time they post they may be lying. Rather than going to other threads, resurrecting them, chasing this fool, its all right here.

And lastly, the search for this jerk's identity is bearing some fruit. Indications are that "she" is really a "he". In Spokane. I wonder if he wears a dress when he thinks no one is looking ? Just waiting for a couple more matches to line up, then we will say "hey" to Les !

Does anyone else have some misgivings about the BOI being used in this manner? Being used as an inquisition board to attack someone for personal reasons, and/or engaging in a sort of apparent vendetta? Is this what you all want the BOI to be used for? That anyone is fair game to be put in the hot seat here regardless of any direct business relationship?

Well, unless someone can come up with a damned good reason why it should, it is my intention that it will NOT be used in that manner.

So make the reasoning good, and make it QUICK, please.

I think that I would rate as one who had misgivings about someone using an alias in Fauna to make false claims of having had a felony perpetrated upon them by a target entity. Thanks to some quick high tech police work, the entity was ID'd, and then asked by Spokane's finest to put his time to better use.

Its your forum Rich. Never stopped you in the past from deleting whatever you chose to. This entity posted false allegations in at least two threads here using the alias Jennifer Jamison, a spin off on the porn-star Jenna Jamison. His target was an ex-porn star and her mother, and that coincidence alone didn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out, although I thank you for the comparison in the other thread. I fully understand your not having the time to vet all new applicants here. I was also under the impression that someone's business reputation could be considered a part of their business. Its hard to find a negative thread in the BOI where the word "liar" does not show itself often.

I ask you. If Johnny Wellhung started posting in a couple of Serpenco threads that you had scammed him out of $4k, would you feel all that timid about starting a thread asking "Does anyone know Johnny Wellhung"? If Johnny suggested you were getting a cut of the action on an illegal activity that was one big lie and had never happened, what would you do ? Would you ban ? Delete ? Or just say "No, I didn't do that"?

As noted too, "Jennifer" is really Les M. No need to post more info. My purpose was only to show that this entity was a fraud, and hopefully put a stop to other possible mischief. Not posting his full contact info lets him move on more easily and set aside the baseless vendetta. I am hopeful he takes the hint.

No Jim, not at all. My business reputation is secure enough, and I am confident enough in my own personal reputation that I would do no such things. Matter of fact, on one of the original renditions of the BOI, this pretty much happened, and that thread was not deleted, nor was the person banned. I would have thought you would know the answer to your own rhetorical questions, so you are only trying to justify your position with frivolous analogies.

This particular thread has nothing at all to do with a business related incident at all, and fully appears to be personally motivated.

If there is a case of where someone is bearing false witness against another in relation to a business relationship, or has a legitimate gripe camoflaged with a false name, then the place to try to resolve that issue is within the thread itself where such action has taken place. Creating a separate thread solely for the purpose of calling into question someone's identity dilutes and obscures what the BOI is here for. It could easily become cluttered with a series of pissing match threads between two or more members, having nothing at all to do with any direct business relationship. Such issues only have relevance within the original thread where such person stated claims that are being questioned because of misgivings about their identity. In such incidents, yes, discrediting the source of information because of the bogus nature of the identity is certainly acceptable and prudent. But starting entire new THREADS abous such identity issues? Sorry, but no. I just don't want to see the BOI cluttered with every incident of this nature.

And while I am thinking of it, Jim, this particular quote from you is evidence of pretty low stooping for you:

Damn few threads or posts are ever deleted from the BOI, and even then ONLY when they are a blatant violation of the rules. Even then, I prefer leaving them if they still contain information that I feel is of value, regardless of the violation. I believe you KNOW this to be a fact, but are finding a stetching of the truth to be convenient in this discussion.

But in any event, bs aside, this thread really serves no purpose for what the BOI is intended to be here for. Please go play your porn star "whois" guessing games somewhere else.
