Jay, since I believe it was you who started pushing about Mikes record, WHY THE HELL IS IT ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS???
As stated previously, I got involved in this issue because it first surfaced on the BC Forum. I received phone calls and emails asking for advice/input/help concerning the situation. I was also appalled at the dishonestly that Michael was demonstrating and consequently I “entered the fray.”
Maybe the same question should be asked of you…why do you care what transpires here?
And who cares about his upcoming court appearances?
Again, as I previously stated,
the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Also, Michael stated that he had made mistakes in the past, learned his lesson and had “changed.” The current charges against him show that this is not true. Refuting of lie = relevance.
The reason that I posted the information was because it was requested.
but it takes a real loser to bring up a persons past, when it has no bearing on the thread.
As stated previously (for the third time), there are many of us that believe that past behavior is quite relevant when questioning someone’s honesty and/or ethics. I am sorry that you disagree with this, but if Michael were honest in his dealings his background would have never been called into question.
btw...let's try to stay away from name calling. That sort of thing is usually reserved for children and those of limited intelligence.
Jay, please tell me, If my loved ones or I ever got into trouble, would it make us bad people?
Not at all…people make mistakes all of the time and I am a firm believer in second (and even third…or more) chances. However, as I said before, when someone refuses to learn from their mistakes and continues to display dishonest behavior and rip people off, then yes…it does make them a bad person (at least in my opinion, and I think that society as a whole would agree with this contention).
I also get a big kick out of you digging up Mikes problems, but claim to know nothing about Bobs.
I know very little about the difficulties between Mike Bell and Bob Clark. At least I don’t know enough to discuss it intelligently. How it is even remotely relevant to this topic is lost on me. Neither party is involved in this discussion and for Michael to attempt to drag their names into this was nothing more than a feeble attempt to divert attention from himself.
If you or Michael have such an interest in Mike’s and Bob’s dealings, might I suggest you start a new topic and discuss their issues all you want. Who knows…they might even come join the conversation.
What Jay is doing is acting like a knob
Nowhere in this entire topic have I resorted to name calling. It is unfortunate that you are unable to intelligently discuss your “issue” with this topic without resorting to such juvenile behavior.
I did take the liberty to look up the term "knob" in a slang dictionary. Here is what I found:
"
knob: Used to describe someone of low social standing or someone of limited intelligence."
Based on this definition, the term "knob" is highly inaccurate when describing me. If you would like to continue to stoop to the level of name calling, then might I suggest you at least be accurate in the names that you choose to "sling around."
So you are the Judge, Jury, and the Jailor, and you see fit to jump on Mike because of his past? It has no bearing on this issue. Everyone has made mistakes of different degrees, and its petty to pull up the past to try and slam the guy.
No one has claimed such titles. However, the purpose of the BOI is to expose dishonest people within this hobby. Hence the discussion about Michael.
As far as Michael’s past bearing on this issue, please read above.
Please allow me to reiterate a previous statement…if someone makes mistakes in the past and recognizes this fact and then changes their behavior, their past is of little consequence (at least in my book…however, most law enforcement agencies and professional licensing boards, etc. would disagree). As stated several times, when a person continually displays unlawful behavior over and over again, then their past is quite relevant as a predictor of their future behavior.
I know several people on this board and others in this bus. that have loooong records, does it matter to me, HELL NO.
If they are honest, ethical and fair in their business dealings, then I couldn’t agree with you more. I think that we pretty much agree on this one.
Is Mike in the wrong, YES
At last! We are finally in complete agreement on something!
