• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Made me laugh

I joined because comments yesterday made me laugh. Unless threads are ten miles long and move at the speed of light, I read every post. I'm curious and love to fill my brain with totally useless information. Skipping from the opening post to the last post may mean that important information has been missed and regular posters get tired of saving newbies from themselves.

I'm too old to have more human babies and too young to be a grandmother. I have teens and we have a hedgehog since my daughter has asthma. I want a pet who likes to snuggle and I'm a night owl so a "baby" that will sleep when I sleep would be perfect.

Don't worry, we're not all certifiably crazy here. Some of us took the time to study so we could pass our psych evals

Hey...I resent that! One could be crazy AND very well educated!!! For example, I recently learned Spanish...so I could understand the voices in my head. :crazy03:

I can only hope that one day I will be enlightened enough to apply my knowledge earning me the wisdom necessary to be certifiable.

Until then...teach me :bow01:

Watch and learn young grasshopper and one day you too will have such kung-fu. :D

The response from my husband is usually:
"How in the h*** did you know/find/figure out that?"
Maybe it's cop blood because telling me that I can't know or do something is the best way get me fired up. I also like to talk and with random knowledge packed in my head there's bound to be some information worth discussing.

Oysters can randomly change sexes.

Donna gets so excited about Geckos that she occasionally Stutters :)

Dogs and cats, like humans, are either right or left handed. With cats its linked to their gender (Tom cats are left-handed & female cats are right handed)
