    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Male or female for better morph outcome?

So ive been contiplaiting on weither its better for me to have a male bumblebee or female bumble bee. Need to know which would be better to pair up with a butter pastel. Given the bp is opposite sex.

I heard something about deserts females producing fertile eggs alot. Wonderig if the butter pastel would be the same.

Keep in mind i would prefer to use a bumble bee male to breed around after im started with the butter pastel. That was my OG battle plan.
 
Desert females are infertile. Not to be confused with the desert ghost which is a completely different morph.

The bumblebee though would be on what plans you have in the future. That's how I decide all the sexes of the BP's I get. If you have more plans for the bumblebee than the butter pastel then you should get a male, if you have more plans for the butter pastel then I would get that in a male. Sometimes price will also swing a decision too.

Looking that you already have plans to breed the bumblebee to other projects I would think that you pretty much have your mind made up already. :)
 
I would buy a pastel butter male since the butter gene is in more demand than the spider gene. A pastel butter male gives you a larger potential when bred to other females over the bee. You will charge more for a butter than a spider, or have higher trade value. Always plan ahead on males in case you get females that are breeder size you were not planning on. When having a smaller collection, look at what they would make with a normal.
