About The Snake: He is a male banded ball python about a year old. (reduced connected pattern, bright highlights, stunning eyes) He has a good disposition, just very shy. He is approximately 3'2" long, but is a little thin. He is about a year old. He's eating live adult mice. My vet gave him a look over and he appears to be in good health as long as he keeps eating.
His Story/Situation: This snake was kept by a few different inexperienced kids, who inevitably starved him and were keeping him in a bare plastic shoebox. He finally came into my possession, and I got him a good setup, to the vet, and eating regularly.
His Current SetUp: His set up is a large rubbermaid bin that will hold him once he's full adult-size. The lid has been customized with plastic-coated screening to keep humidity in, and has two regular-screening windows for ventilation and light/heat access. I have him on coconut fiber bedding, clamp lamp with night-heat and day-heat bulbs, ceramic water bowl, 1 plastic hide, 1 half-log hide. A little plastic "carrying" shoebox, which has a tupperware water dish. Depending on where you'll be keeping him (I am lucky and able to house my reptiles on our screened in lanai in our fenced in yard), you may need a heat pad and thermometer/hygrometer.
I live in Sarasota FL, if you want to pick him up, or you can arrange to have him shipped. It will be $50+shipping.
