    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This russian tortoise male is for adoption, not for sale. He is a tortoise I received from someone who was going to college about 5 months ago. He said he had him for 10 years, that would make him at least 11 years old. However, he has MBD in his jaw and partially his shell. His shell is a little deformed and he cannot completely shut his jaw. None of this affects him in eating, or wanting the lady tortoises. His food just needs to be cut up very well.

When I received him, his skin was peeling bad and his eyes were swollen, all is well now, I just don't think his jaw will ever completely close, even with mBD treatment.

There is a small adoption fee just to make sure he is going to a good home. You will need to have knowledge of tortoises, and show knowledge of a tortoise with MBD care.

I will not ship him though, this is local pickup only on Long Island, I can probably meet 1/2 way.

Poor guy

Poor guy, best of luck finding him a new home! If I were closer I would take him in a heart beat and let him free roam in my backyard with my other tort. I hope he lives the rest of his days happily:)

If you werewilling to ship to Texas I would pay for it. I have Taaken in several Russian Tortoises as adoptions for various reasons.
