In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey guys, buyer fell through on this guy so he is back up for sale. He is right under one year old and a proven breeder. I got him from josh at phantom dragons. He is really nice and an awesome breeder. He's around 250 grams, and fifteen inches He eats like a beast, crickets, dubias, worms, and greens.

He is $750 plus shipping. I'm open to trades as well... Leos= bandits, carrot tails, bold stripes, sunglows. Or dubias= matching the roach ranch prices. Or bearded dragons= females only and atleast 6 months old.

I'm open to alot of offers so don't be scared to ask away :)
PM with offers.

Thanks,
Emiley

hey guys, I'm sorry to say buy I don't really know.... I got him from a show a while back and that's what josh told me. He wrote down his genetics for me and he wrote quad het on there. I asked what it meant, and he told me he was het for everything. Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Em

I believe I've seen some forum post in the past from Josh that explains his quad het breeding...The quad het BD would have the following genes:

Co-dom Italian Leatherback + Het Hypo + Het Trans + Het Recessive Leather (reduced scale)

This is what I remember, but don't quote me on this :)

I have been told about that post before, but have failed to find it. I wish I could help more... I can call him monday to find the exact answer for you guys.

Thanks,
Emiley

I too am interested in hearing the philosophy behind this "quad" het thing. How can a dragon that is clearly trans be het. trans?? :shrug01: Back to Genetics 101 for me I guess.

so hes het hypo, het tranz, het leather, het marcketed lucy ?

A dragon can not be het for marketed leucistic because it is just as the name states a marketing term only. Being that this animal is a trans leather it is possible it could be het for hypo and possibly a carrier of the recessive american smoothie blood line but it is not and can not be a quad het.

genetic morphs include Translucent, hypo, codom leather, recessive leather, and recessive american smoothie.

This dragon may be het for hypo and het for a recessive american smoothie traight but it is not a quad het.

That's what I was thinking as well, but I have it in writing that he's quad het. I will have to talk to him tomorrow to find out if it was a mix up or if my beardie's genetics will surprise us all. :)

Thanks,
em

More incorrect than false. A dragon being coined aleucistic is nothing more than a marketing term attached to a color trait that is linebred into a dragon. The trait in this case being light yellow to white. Often dragons marked leucistic are the het result of a hypo breeding. If you look up leucism in reptiles you will see what it truly is.

In dragons it is only a marketing term for a color trait and not a genetic malformation that a dragon can be heterozygous or homozygous for. Weather you chose to acknowledge this or not means nothing to me cause at the end of the day a true leuci dragon still does not exist which means you cant have a dragon be het for something that does not exist.

LEUCISTIC BEARDED DRAGONS!!! Our leucistic bloodline is unbelievable. Some of our animals have grown to over 22" in less than a year. These are beautiful white lizards, some with incredible shades of blue and lavender. Adults are nearly solid white!
Sexable juveniles.... $500-$600.

HETEROZYGOUS for LEUCISTIC: These are the non-leucistic offspring produced by Leucistic males and Het females. Although normal in appearance, they carry the genetic material to produce Leucistic offspring. When a Leucistic animal is bred to a Het for Leucistic animal, roughly 50% of the offspring will be Leucistics and 50% Hets. The offspring of 2 Hets bred together should be about 25% leucistics.
Sexable juveniles....$200-$250

this is a copy of the material from dragons den although the animals in question are not what you would consider a traditional lucy ( white with black eyes) they seem to be suggesting that these animals have a simple recessive trait

Have you spoken with josh yet cause as I see it you are still missrepresenting this dragon.

and sorry polasian

Misrepresenting? I'm selling him the exact way he was sold to me... I'm sure your one of those idiots that sit on this site talking garbage about everyone's dragons when your not even interested in them. If your legitimately interested in him then I will get some info for you, otherwise stop clicking on my thread and get a job.

As for the other people that are interested.... I'm trying to get a hold of him to find out the mix up.

Thanks,
E
