In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have an adult male Albino ball python that has been producing sperm plugs for the past two years and still does not breed! I am getting frustrated because I tried everything and I keep trying and trying and nothing. I have two females waiting for him and I don't want to lose clutches this year. Any suggestions on how to get him going? Much appreciated.

How old, and how big, is he? All the tricks in the world won't help if he's just not ready. A lot of people have success with young/small males; but sometimes there's just no substitute for age + size. I had one male that didn't breed until he was 4 yrs old, and around 1500g (needless to say, I replaced him after his second season of disinterest).

First thing to do is verify that your male is a male, and that your females are females...
(basic, but that simple thing has spoiled many planned breedings)

Well, he's about 2 years old and weighs 750 grams. He is a male because I popped and probed him. He is currently producing sperm plugs and the females are definitely females because they laid eggs for me last season. And that's crazy that your male didn't breed for that long. I hope mine breeds soon because I don't want to get rid of him. :(

My yellow belly male also took 4 years to breed...seemed ready when he was younger, but obviously was not.

This seems to be the only male that won't breed for me and he is one of my main males which makes me sad :( I guess I'm going to have to find another morph male that is 100% het albino :-/

With the storm coming, he might change his mind. Apparently storms spark ball breeding.

its barometric pressure. When it is on the rise it is kinda like putting on Barry White for them:D. Usually whenever we see rain and know it will rise we pair and usually get locks with every pairing. I believe it is because of the way they breed in nature and even though these are captive bred they inherit that sense.

Good to know. Tossed all my males in with girls before I left for work tonight.
:)

yeah we have had such a hot year it has messed up a lot of clutches out here. I think I am just going to turn the humidifier way up, turn on rain sounds and play on repeat "let's get it on":D

Barry White is so last season...:rofl::rofl:

My snakes prefer some system of a down and occasionally to really get them motivated I put on some Rage against the machine.
Barry White...smh

I just tried putting him in with a breeder male and only that male starting fighting, but the albino didn't. ::sigh:: I guess I'll try the shed thanks.
