I have a male that is probably a little bit older than yours. IS your female a proven female? How old is your pair? Could it be that they are too young or the female is younger or older than your male? I have a roughly 2-4 yr old male.
 
My female is about 3 years now, confirmed she laid eggs this year. The male I have is about 1 maybe a little older.
