I regretfully have to sell my 3 year old male Ball Python. Such a beautiful, well mannered snake. I've owned many snakes before and he is bar far the best. Loves to be handled, eats every week frozen mice/rats, NEVER showed any aggression. Just a wonderful animal and so pretty to look at and hold!
I am moving to a new place and I can not take him with me.
This is what I have...
- 3 year old male Ball Python. Purchased from a reputable snake breeder when he was 4 months old. Snake was born in captivity. Proven eater, sheds perfectly and has zero health issues. I paid about $150 for the snake
- 3 foot wide by 2 foot deep by 1.5 foot high professional enclosure. This is NOT a typical 'pet store' type of enclosure. This enclosure is sold only through professional snake breeders. It keeps PERFECT temperature and humidity. It has thick glass sliding front doors, built in top circular vents for lights and heat lamps. This enclosure I bought new 3 years ago for over $200. It is a: Animal Plastics T3 Snake Cage
- Under tank heating film. This again is professional level heating film, NOT a typical heating pad. This heating film is controlled by it's own independent thermostat. ($50)
- Top of tank 150 watt heat lamp. This allows you to run one side of the tank hot as a basking zone, and the other side of the tank warm as a hiding zone. This heating lamp is controlled by it's own independent thermostat. ($50)
- 2x professional thermostats. These thermostats are a must! They will monitor the temperature via probes that are installed in 4 various locations of the tank. This allows the heat to be independently controlled in 4 zones. This is CRUCIAL to your snakes health and long term well being! (these cost me $50 each)
- 2x temperature and humidity sensors. These sensors are installed inside the tank that will monitor and alarm you to any temperature or humidity changes outside preset limits that you determine. Again, keeping the perfect temperature/humidity combination is vital to your snakes health, his shedding, and his eating habits! ($40 each)
- 2x hiding rocks, large bag of bedding, water bowls, etc. (about $75 in accessories)
- 50x pre-killed frozen Rats that I just purchased 2 weeks ago. These rats will run you about $4 - $5 each in the pet store. I buy them from a reputable online source, I paid $150. This is enough food for the snake for an entire year!!! Do NOT feed your snake LIVE.. you chance that the rat will injure your snake with it's sharp claws. Some snake will NOT eat pre-killed pre-frozen rats... my snake was born and raised eating this way, so he is literally zero maintenance, zero headaches.. has been a reliable eater every week for his entire life! If you ever owned snakes before you should know just how important and valuable this eating habit alone is!!!
All together my setup with snake cost me about $700.
Then the brand new frozen rats cost me another $150
I'm not looking to make all my money back, I'm simply looking most importantly for the snake to find a good home with a caring owner. This is a chance to get a top-notch snake, enclosure setup with EVERYTHING you need for the next year (even food) for a FRACTION of the cost if you had to buy all this stuff today brand new. All of my stuff is in 'like-new' condition, it stays in it's own seperate bedroom and is never touched by anybody but myself.
If you are interested please PM me or leave a message in this thread.
Thank You for looking!
