In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Bad Guy Marco Romero aka [email protected] AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I believe if one of you two get on the phone with PayPal and tell them the deal, both fees may be refunded.

Funny someone brought up the sellers not allowed to ask for the buyer to cover the fees as I've seen a lot of people on here asking for the buyer to add the extra % to cover it... off topic.

Anywho, I agree that if one or both of y'all contact paypal fees should be covered however they might not stating that because both sides paid the full $50 both sides got the fees so they might see it fair. I've never had to deal with paypal in this issue before so I cannot say for certain.

I planned from the start to build all my own habitats or buy them able to be picked up on the same day, to prevent issues like this. I've been looking into companies that build and ship, this company I might shy away from... however, I work retail and to our customers we're vendors/reps for the products so I can understand when a DC won't ship or has issues with shipping. I've never seen one go as long as month though. I'd love to know what the shipping issues were. Was the driver striking, having truck trouble and couldn't afford another, or what was the deal going on here?

I'm glad you got your refund and I wish you the best of luck in getting the rest of your habitats that you need for your beardies.

I decided to go and visit their website just now and I'm getting all kinds of Malware warnings from the site, not sure if this has anything to do with anything. But it says it's been listed as suspicious within the last 90 days, I'm using Google chrome right now, so that might be it too... just something I noticed and thought I'd bring it up in case this was an issue with the whole thing too.

Still no response. I assume I've gotten as much help from him as I'm ever going to. I agree that ordering something that doesn't exist yet is risky, but he seemed fairly certain that it would be ready at the end of October, and I figured that even if it were late, it would still be ok. I just never realized how late it could be, and never imagined he would try to keep the deposit after so long.

Well, immediately after writing that last post, I checked my email and got a response saying he would send the difference. Assuming it goes through, I no longer have any financial complaints. Now if only somebody can refund me the 4 months I wasted on this deal, then I'll be back to square 1. haha.

WOW. So, I went looking for some new cages now that I've finished waiting for Marco, and guess what I found:

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=374121&highlight=melamine

He apparently has changed his fauna name to EAST COAST FEEDERS, so be aware all, but more importantly, he also is apparently still trying to sell the cages that he was unable to get for me. I think if it's so impossible to get these cages, he should probably stop taking orders until he gets the stock in.

That being the case, Marco is now in violation of Fauna's TOS, having multiple accounts.

Although his [email protected] profile shows Revollo as his last name, and his East Coast Feeders account shows a slightly different location and email address, it certainly doesn't make Marco look especially good.

Geez .....

Forgot the screen shots ....

For the sake of posterity, i want to affirm that i have received the missing 1.87, meaning I have now received a full refund of my deposit.

Marco isn't a thief, but certainly doesn't seem to have very good business ethics. Thanks for the warning. I'm glad you got your money back.

I really don't know that there is a side to tell. The entire first section of the BOI consisted of emails between the two of us. I can't imagine he has anything to say here that he didn't say in the emails. I felt the same way about my position, which is why I just let the emails do the talking.

I'm so glad I decided to design and build my own cages...That is some of the worst customer service I've ever heard of! I'm so glad you got your money refunded, but its not really the money but the principle of the thing i'd have to imagine at this point right? Because they are still taking orders, and that is just crazy!

Glad you got your refund. Definitely not a guy to do business with though. Nobody can refund the staggering 4 MONTHS you had to waste on this. :ack2: I am impressed with how incredibly patient you were with him.

Been dealing with Marco for awhile now have never had any issues with anything I've bought from him! He has good product an has been very professional every time I talk to him. I'd give him 2 thums !

I`m glad to hear that you got your full refund, obviously that was fully justified given the complete failure to deliver.

I am curious about one thing, though (and this is not meant as criticism, it`s just my thought) - when this had dragged on for months, and all he did was repeat that they were delayed for undescribed reasons, I think that I might have tried going direct to Critter Condos HQ. Especially as a different rep was able to get enclosures for you, suggesting that the problem was not country-wide.

Did you try to go directly to the supplier and/or let them know the problems you were having with this particular agent?

I'm glad you got this issue resolved. I hope by now you have found a reputable cage dealer and your happy now.

I wonder why he hasn't come in here to tell his side ..

There is no upside in responding. If he responds this thread will go on and on. He's better off leaving it as is.
I've seen people respond and no matter what they say it only get's worse.
