    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I ordered a thousand 1/4" to 1/2" Blapitca dubia from Marcus Quesada (aka: Marcus Q) of Pittsburg, California. I placed the order two days ago. I asked him to wait until yesterday to ship to me and to ship via Express Mail. (I think he usually ships by way of Priority mail but I figured too much of a chance of it getting cold again so I shelled out extra for Express Mail.) I got the notice from PayPal that the package was on its way yesterday. It arrived today via Express Mail, before noon, as promised.

The packaging was excellent, two small boxes of 500 roaches each. Pieces of egg flats in boxes. Small boxes were inside a larger Styrofoam box with heat pack that was still very warm. All that inside outer shipping box. Really well packaged. All roaches arrived alive.

Some of the roaches may have been smaller than 1/4", maybe as small as 1/8" but that was okay because some of the others were larger than 1/2". In all, the great majority fell between 1/4" and 1/2", nice mixture. As for the count, I was certainly not about to try to count them but judging by prior orders of roaches and crickets, I would have to guess the count was excellent, likely above 1K. They all looked healthy. No mites or small flies noticeable as I have received in previous shipments from other sellers. Inside of boxes pretty clean, not a ton of roach droppings. :hurray:

The price of the roaches was very good and shipping price also very good.

Great communication throughout.

Could not ask for a better transaction or better seller. :hurray:

All the best,
Glenn B

I also placed this same order and was just as impressed with the roaches and the packaging. Additionally, when I inquired about purchasing a few breeding size adults, he was nice enough to include a few pairs for FREE. Excellent service. I would defiantly do business again!

Just received my dubias yesterday and I'm very pleased. There looked to be over 1000, and he even tossed in a few that were over the 1/4-1/2 size. The water crystals were in the first box, on top of the 2nd. Newspaper underneath the 2nd box with a still-warm heat pack. Did not find any dead among the 2 good-sized pieces of egg carton. Very pleased and will order from him again.

I received my second order of Blaptica dubia from Marcus today. The previous ones I had were breeding but not at a high enough rate to keep my lizards in roaches without buying another thousand. Although, being I bought the other in February and have been feeding 2 adult bearded dragons, 3 adult crested geckos, a musk turtle and some baby crested geckos, I think I sure stretched out that order because they bred often (and the lizards and turtle were fed well).

Anyway, I digress; the second order I got from Marcus was as good as the first. It was professionally packaged, sent out promptly and all of them arrived alive from what I could tell. This time I opted for a mixture of adults and smaller down to a quarter inch.

All the best,
Glenn B
