In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy MarinaAlexis Zermeno AKA mazermeno1 of Houston TX

I've already heard that from numerous people. I won't tell him im sorry for anything. I told him sorry many times through facebook messages because she was sick and I could not ship her. I even said sorry because I had to send him a refund. He wants to talk about not being messaged before hand. Well i would have loved if he would have messaged me with his feelings towards me before he went and posted this. Instead he went a deleted me on facebook lol (i guess thats the way people go about stuff like this) and he never let me know anything. His last message was " I'm willing to purchase her right now, any illness she may or may not have included. I am set up for treatment of about every illness known to herps. I will increase my offer. Would love to have her." He wanted to buy a sick snake. who does that? i know i wouldn't! and then to want to increase his offer lol im sorry but it doesn't make any sense.

I say, if someone privately offered her more money after my purchase and payment then it would be in a 'customers best interest' to tell the truth.

Not trustworthy.

This right here is insulting me! He's trying to make me look bad for no reason. Not trustworthy? Because i sent him his money back!? Tell the truth? I only tell the truth! I always show my true colors. Im a straight up person and thats how a lot of people need to be. Im not about to let some random guy come in and try to ruin my reputation. I will defend myself no matter what. If i was in the wrong for anything i'll admit to it. But im not in the wrong for anything here.

Marina, this is easily ended with an invoice from the veteranarian.

If you still have that snake and it gets better, list it up in the 'pythons' section rather than the 'ball python' section and put a hefty price tag on it. I've never owned a blood, but I know that is no ordinary Borneo.

I've said about all I know to say.

Though it may be a bit presumptuous to assume she got a higher offer, I was curious about that ad from the moment I saw it. I'm no expert on blood pythons or anything, but that doesn't look like a typical blood to me. What do they call those? "Ultra breits"? Is it outside of the realm of possibilities that if she indeed has this snake, someone contacted her about it and informed her of its true value? If the hets (aka granites) sell for around $500 each, then obviously the actual mutation, which is what appears to be pictured in the ad, would sell for way more than $170.

Just an FYI that the ultra breit/latte genes are different from granites.
That does appear to be one though. I don't remember what they go for now, but it's more than $170 for sure. I'm curious how the seller had this snake, but didn't know what it was or what it's worth. Also, will the re-list price be the same?

Those snakes sell for way more than $170.

Is there more than one photo of the snake on facebook? (Facebook is blocked here at work)

I would like to see another picture of the snake, with your name and date on a piece of paper.

the way i see this , this should be a info thread and no proof of the seller refunding the $ to get more for said animal has been posted. Sure the seller should have given a note with the refund , but that does not entitle the buyer to post a bad guy thread.

Seems to me the buyer is jumping to conclusions on this an may be someone to be careful doing business with as well since he jumped the gun rather fast here.

Thanks April for the clarification. I found an ad on KS for granites het ultra breit and I made the (bad) assumption that they meant the same thing. Learn something new every day! Either way, it's very odd for her to have a snake like this in her possession and not know what it's worth. If she truly has this snake, I imagine someone informed her of its value and she realized she was nearly giving it away.

As soon as I saw it listed, in the Ball Pythons section I might add, I must admit I was tempted to contact her and make an effort to get it. But the little red square under her name and the "too good to be true" price made me pass it by.

Chance, she has it listed now? I am thinking she probably did not have a red square previous to today?

i've never had negative feedback from anyone until yesterday. I don't charge an arm and a leg for my reptiles when i sell them. My ex boyfriend paid more than $170 thats for sure but I don't want to keep her. I deal mostly with beardies. Honestly I don't know what bloodline shes from and i let him know that when he asked. I told him my personal reasons for selling her and he knows everything. I don't see why me not asking a high enough price is becoming the problem.

Marina, I had to look that snake up. It looks like ultra-breit, probably of the VPI line. VPI is selling baby females for $1500. Your asking price wasn't a problem at all. But now you know what it is worth and you can sell it for much more.

Also, the last message you sent me on facebook is showing up blank.

I messaged you a scan of the invoice on facebook. I don't want everyone having my personal business on here. You can let them know that you recieved it. I told you i would keep her and let you know when shes ready to sell again. Im sorry i listed her under the wrong thing I just noticed that. I've never listed any pythons i've only listed sand boas so I didn't really pay attention to the categories for pythons. Im leaving the price at $170 for her because I can't honestly tell someone her full genetic background.

I think a lot of people get suspicious when something seems way too good to be true. It usually ends up being a scam of some sort. Of course, you did return the money so that's not an issue. It just brings up questions... If it was an ex's snake and you just don't want it, that makes some sense. I'm surprised that he doesn't want it back. I only say this because it is an expensive animal and he must have payed quite a bit for it. It's a beautiful snake. Whoever ends up with her will be happy.

Letting th OP have her at the $170 promised would be a great resolution for this.:)

Thanks Marina. I received a scan of a vet visit to which she brought 3 animals. Baytril was a prescription for one of them.

Whoever picks up the snake for $170 is getting a super great deal. You may have an endless number of private messages coming your way about it.

I do apologize for jumping to conclusions. If I could I'd just delete the whole thread and forget about it.

I spent time talking with her over facebook after notifying her of the boi. I can assure you she wasn't aware of the snakes value. When she seperated from her ex he left the snake with her which was his. She has knowledge of snakes but not blood pythons. She may have gotten upset and picked the wrong words to use but i do not think that is a reason for people to acuse her of being in the wrong which she clearly wasn't. She didn't need to send a message with the paypal return because she sent one on facebook immediately after. While if you have time yeah its not a bad thing to send a message before refunding but I also think there is absolutely no reason to notify someone before if you do it immediately after. She was doing what was in the best interest of the animal and the buyer by not selling at that time. She felt something wasn't right with the animal when it decided to bite and to me that speaks volumes for her character because i think to many people here would have just taken it and shipped it out anyways then the buyer ends up with a missrepresented animal or in this case a sick snake. Instead she took the time to find out the problem and have it treated. I would have waited to see the outcome. If the snake never went back up for sale then possibly make a thread.
