In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy MarinaAlexis Zermeno AKA mazermeno1 of Houston TX

This thread makes my head spin.

None of the OP or seller's behavior makes the least bit of sense to me. :shrug01:

Question for the OP- are you still planning on buying the snake at this point??

Until i found out she was lying last i knew she was still thinking about selling the snake to him to "right" the situation. I had suggested to her it would be in her best interest. I explained to her that the OP didn't seem like a bad guy simply just that he had jumped the gun a little. But now i have not spoke to her since the invoice was discovered to be false so i have no idea whats going on now.

The question was for the OP. Why are YOU answering?:shrug01:

I've been reading this on my phone as I get a chance during the day, just got home and caught up.

When the seller had the last ad up for the snake on taking offers, I made an offer of $400 plus shipping on it. I later spoke privately with her and told her that the offer still stood but no offense would be taken if she didn't sell to me. Her reply was that someone else had made a higher offer. And that's ok with me. That's all I could offer on it, even though I really wanted it, even still.

I'm convinced she did actually have the snake for sale and also that she had no knowledge of it's bloodline or value. I've observed many young women more clueless.

Why she actually refunded my payment and created a fake vet invoice to try and play her story, are beyond me.

thats funny because she must have lied to me again. she had told me that she was talking to you about still selling you the snake because what me and her had discussed was even though she had a higher offer she was still going to sell it to you to correct the situation. I had told her if she were to sell you the snake for about half of its actual value for around $400 (if you didn't have a problem paying that) it likely wouldn't make people mad that she was selling it to low and would show she isn't just looking for money by taking the highest offer. she told me numerous times that it wasn't about the money and i told her she had to prove that to everyone here. reason i believed her was she just seemed more nervous about going about this the right way to save her name and not make people mad. she seemed genuin about the whole situation idk why she would mess that up by making a fake invoice. now im assuming she was informed of its value durring the sale and got caught up in her lie to you about the RI so she made the invoice.

I also believe that when she posted the snake for sale she had no idea. It seems almost certain that she found out the value, refunded the payment and gave you the RI story. When you posted she began to act classically. First the name calling, then the lies and finally, when caught, abandonment of the thread. I have seen it time and time again. She may try to reinvent herself here at a later date (I have seen that also) but this thread will survive and be here from now on. In the end, even though it was a circuitous
road, The BOI has worked again!

$400 would have still been a great deal on the snake. I would have gladly paid it. I'm told she was offered $650 for it. I don't know if she took it. I did notify her of it's value and gave her a little information on it after I was 'satisfied' with the invoice.

Completely agree with you here

also just so there is no question. here is a screan shot of the day me and her became friends. its a little small but if you zoom in your computer screen you can make out the information. 2 arrows show dates and one arrow shows the accepted friend request. im going to go back in my notifications and see if i can find it on there. since finding it on my wall doesn't put a date on it there are only dates on posts before and after. I removed the last names of everyone else to protect identitys of people not involved.
