• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

So one thing that ticks me off about this country is how sometimes people want to be "overly patriotic" and don't see past a few things. Like all the articles about this case, why does the fact that he is a service member matter at ALL? This story is fishy in every way. So he "accidentally" crosses the border with firearms in his car. That means he had multiple weapons in the car, not just one used for personal protection. He then tries to escape prison! And blames it on being harassed by a few prisoners... Since they love to point this out, this man is suppose to be a Marine NCO, I would hope that he would have a little more in him than breakdown at threats. My real point is that be thankful and proud of our service members, but don't believe that they are perfect. Major Hasan was a service member too. Any military members here can attest to witnessing people in the military that should have never even had made it past the recruiter's desk.

Another thing about this story, and one that I've been advocating for years, is WHY is he allowed multiple weapons while going through PTSD treatment? That literally means that he is allowed to have a weapon while diagnosed with a mental disorder. This country needs a database to ban people diagnosed with certain mental disorders from being able to own a gun. Their 2nd amendment right means NOTHING to me when they are shooting peoples' innocent kids or killing civilians walking down the street.

Just for the record, I'm a service member and a gun owner! So I'm not against many things as I believe in our freedom!
