These are the first Mario Ball Pythons made available publicly. The Mario is a subtle morph that first popped up in 2012. We've been working with it for a couple of years and will be trying for a super this breeding season but the potential is largely untapped.
After doing extensive research and talking to multiple industry experts, the Mario is very similar, possibly identical to the “Josie.” Both of them seem to have identical characteristics and variances in markings.
The Mario could be another line of Josie but without test breeding it would be incorrect to refer to the Mario as a previously established morph. Future plans include those test breedings as well as taking another shot at the super form...the Super Mario.
Characteristics
• “teeth” on the heat pits
• Line down the belly
• Busy Pattern
• Distinct head print
• More orange than brown
• High contrast blacks
• Connected alien heads
• Mustache
