    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just completed a trade with Mario and it went off without a problem. The transaction was seemless. He was very easy to work with and represented his animals well. I would do business with him anytime.

I recently contacted "thebiggestsb" to about his trade with Mario Merced who operates under the fauna handle of "mercedproperty1617".

I shipped Mario some snakes in a snake/cash trade deal. He never sent the cash. After numerous unanswered messages, he finally responded when I threatened a negative BOI.

He claims to have sent the money order but had accidentally sent it to the wrong person. He also claims that the snakes died (even though he never attempted to contact me about this until threatened with BOI). He offered to send pictures to both my phone and email, but he has done neither.

I saw the post by "thebiggestsb" and wondered if by chance the trade he did with Mario included one of the snakes Mario claimed to have died. It wasn't (completely different species), but "the biggestsb" said in his response that Mario was supposed to send him a female and sent a male instead. I just got a response back from "thebiggestsb" today that said he still hadn't gotten any type of response back from Mario.


I don't know Mario and can't prove any sort of wrongdoing but I know I would never do a deal with him again. Great communication up until the part he is supposed to fulfill his end, then he falls off the planet.

You're not alone. I was contacted by Mario about a couple of snakes that I had. He lives in the same city so we arranged a pick up. He never showed and never answered any of my emails or phone calls.
Several months later, I answered an ad about some rats. Once I saw who the return email was from, I stated that I didn't want to do business with him. He replied that his name was "Ron" and I must have dealt with his brother Mario. I met "Ron" who, upon calling me to say he had arrived, identified himself as Mario so I knew then that I was lied to. I did purchase the rats which were all hairless, skinny and smelled like dead animals. I felt sorry for the little guys so I kept the rats and rehabbed them. I still have two. I figured the rats had been through enough so I re-homed them as pets.
Mario again contacted me about different snakes I had for sale. I said that from our previous dealings, I would only sell to him if I received a deposit. He agreed and said he would send a deposit that evening. It was no surprise that it never came.
I started asking around about him and was told similar stories about grossly misrepresented animals and continuous disappearing acts. I would never deal (sell or buy) with him again.
 
This is an edit of my first response. I did a trade with Mario for a female albino granite burm. I was sent a MALE albino granite burm. I sexed the burm by running my fingers down its tail (Not the best way)lol. Recently I noticed the burm was not really bulking up like a female. So I and then a buddy of mine probed it and found out it was a male. Which is not a big deal we all make mistakes and mess up on sexing from time to time.

I then contacted Mario by phone (I would have left a message but the mailbox was full) and email. I have not gotten a response or resultion to this problem.

If I were a customer I would be very carefull before dealing with this person.

We are all human and make mistakes, but fix where you went wrong.

I contacted him about an ad he posted...more of a curiosity thing, really, but there were some animals I would have considered IF they had the right look (there was really no information in the ad - no age, weight, history, pictures, or prices....just a list, and a statement that he needs them gone asap).
His response to my inquiry:
first we talk price once we agree on price then we pics it be a full time job sending info to people whoanit seriuos. 1500 for the lot or tell me which ones u like

I've got the money, but that approach is a real turnoff.
Given the posted history of misrepresenting animals, botched deals (I'd go so far as calling his activity described in post #2 a blatant scam, not a mistake) and not showing up for meets - well, my thoughts on that don't matter...people can decide for themselves.
 
I'm glad I saw this when I did. I had inquired about his Clown male BP for sale "need gone asap", and he said he wanted $325...of course I would jump on that price of practically giving it away! but if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is...he said he would send pics to my phone. I gave him my number shortly before seeing this thread. Did anyone else notice his photo album on his profile has several ball python pictures that look straight from Google? definitely not going to do business with him...seems like a crook to me.
 
One of the snakes I sent him back in 2010 in above trade was a black pastel female (that he said died). I'd be interested in seeing a picture of that black pastel he is offering to sell.
