WOW, come back home to find out people got kicked off so soon! I am wondering why I or Dwedeking didn't get kicked off, I thought we all basically said the same things, guess not.
I am still amazed at the lengths he is going through and now banning all who subscribe to fauna at all.

Why in the world would Mario want them all boycotted?

mario leads a boycott. A MAJORITY of the top gecko breeders are also members of fauna classifieds. That means his members will not buy from them. So who can his members buy from? They can buy from mario (the wanna be breeder) and the others who grease his pockets.

Who are these others who greas his pockets?
Well they are also members of fauna.
They are also advertisers on fauna.
But because they pay to advertise on geckonetwork.com......mario will not boycott them.

Ritchie - I haven't logged onto Mario's site since I got back from Raleigh. I posted a message Friday night in one of his threads about the boycott against me and all of my sites. I simply requested that anyone wanting to see for themselves what this site is about to come here and take a look around.

Then I thanked Mario for his boycott and suggested he keep up the good work.

I suppose that message was deleted.

I copied a bunch of text he has posted on his site. I hope he has consulted with his attorney and is aware that accusing someone of a crime (blackmail) in public is definitely libel. I did find it amusing, however.

There were also a couple of rather interesting posts made by Jason Sweigart that were noteworthy. Interesting birds that are flocking together, I guess.

But, Ritchie, try not to get to worked up over this guy, please. It really is not worth the time nor effort. Just have a good laugh at it all and then move on.

But from the start. I ask him some questions. Then he insinuates that I attacked him in the past. Come on how many Lunas have we seen in the reptile world? How many other people saw this "other" Luna attack mario besides himself? yeah that is what I thought.

Then he insinuates that I sent him a virus and hacked his computer. Then he says he never said I did it. He says he just asked if I did it.

He spams me his website building services. I turn it over for spam. He tells his ISP that I had an ad looking for someone to do a website for me. Anyone seen an ad or remember me placing an ad looking for someone to do a website for ME? I remember posting something saying that someone needs to make a website better than KS. But I never asked for anyone to build one for ME. I have had several websites since 1999. I condensed it down to 3 about a year and a half ago. And about a year ago I condensed it down to 2. I have been working with my website(S) for four years. I do not remember putting an ad up for anyones services EVER. Then he says I deleted it............ yeah right.

me AND him are both acting childish. I decide to end it by apologizing for my part that I contributed to the whole uglyness. And for my heart felt humble apologies I get attacked.

Lets look at some definitions in Mario's world.

Boycott fauna = means mario will continue to come here everyday and visit the site. means his partners will continue to use fauna services.

boycott fauna and EVERYONE involved with it in ANYWAY = means he boycotts everyone except the people who continue to buy banner ads from him (a little pocket greasing on the side). wait does this mean he will boycott himself for having at least 3 screennames?

www.geckonetwork.com boycotts fauna = means that one of the people in the "network" will continue to have fauna topsites counter on her site. (geckofreak) ...........wow nice boycott.

I am wondering. we have called this a one man boycott. Well mario and all his other partners (all one of them) continue to use the site. Doesn't that make it a no man boycott?

I have seriously grabbed my basketBALLS and decided to swallow my pride and apologize to the guy. And instead of being a big man and ending it...he instead twist my words and continues to attack me.

Actually jason posted over ther in hopes to get this web watch thing taken down. This is the only thing he does not really like on this site (from what I gather).

mario thought he can have a buddy. He did not realize that Jason is not out to make buddies. He is just there to stand up for what the truth is or at least what he thinks he is. (just like me) and I do respect him for that.

Jason reported mario's spam to his ISP.
Mario got mad that Jason reported him for spam.
I guess mario has reported someone else for their "spam".

So be careful when you e-mail ALL members of this site. because mario is not banned. meaning he will also recieve the e-mail and report you for spam.

When a user registers here, and even thereafter, they have the option within the user control panel (User CP) under Edit Options, third line down, to specify whether they wish to receive notices via email from the admin of this site. Anyone receiving such mailings has "opted in" to receive such mailings.

Those mailings will be quite rare, but regardless it is not spam if the person has voluntarily registered with this site and opted to receive those mailings.

If anyone cannot figure out how to disable this opt in process, they can notify me and I will do that for them.

Since it's inception, I believe I have done a broadcast email exactly twice. Once to let everyone know about the impending switchover from the Ikonboard system to the current vBulletin system. Then the second time to let people know about the FaunaAuction site and the changes made to the FaunaClassifieds structure, and to invite members whom haven't logged on since the conversion to visit within a cutoff date or have their logon ID considered abandoned and thereby deleted.

I did not believe this would be an overwhelming burden to anyone. I may use this function again in the future, but I certainly have no intention of doing so in a frivolous manner.


As an aside, do you want to know what REALLY got Mario so deadset against me and this site? Because he stepped on his own tongue in a message he posted and when he sent me a private message asking me to edit or delete his post, I refused to do so. That message from Mario is copied here:

Well, you have not stolen from anyone or cheated anyone out of animals or money. So I should not really have anything against you. I guess the reason I went after you was because in the very beginning I asked you a couple simple questions.... I consider the owner to be my friend. I have been with them since they started. I was one of the first few people to Join their site. I am PROUD member number 17. And I believe I still have my banners on their banner thing. And if it is no longer their.....it was just something that happened recently.

I was a moderator on that forum as well, for what it's worth.

I don't deny trolling. I don't deny discussing it with Mario, Rakell, Cassian, etc... I also don't deny that among them were trolls as well. You know why WE trolled? We saw a dying forum where name calling and inaccurate information were the norm, where the sites owners were unwilling and unable to do anything to improve the situation. I saw an opportunity to change the atmosphere of the online hobbyist community for the better as claimed by Mario and I jumped on it.

I was naive to think that using such immature tactics would bring about better results, and Mario's actions are living proof of my dissappointment. I was banned for offering a way of improving the forum relations. Ironic, no?

I DO however deny the things Mario accuses me of doing such as bragging about molesting young boys. It takes a sick mind to even suggest such a concept, and to attack the character of someone very involved in his religious community to the extent of running a youth group is libel at its worst..

You're absolutely correct, Ritchie. The offer was indeed made for me to resume mod duties, but I had to pass on it at the time. I believe I was in between trips to France at the time. Upon returning from France, I took a job offer in FL, and had to relocate down here rather quickly.
