    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Somebody contacted me thru this site and spent 2 weeks corresponding about a snake I have for sale. We made arrangements to meet up at Hamburg this past Saturday, I spent 6 hours total going out of my way and they never showed up and began ignoring my texts as soon as I said I had arrived there to meet. We had corresponded all morning and they confirmed they would meet me at the pre-arranged time. Pisses me off and I wanna figure out who they are, Google searches have now opened up a mystery.

They told me I was talking to Mason Walters, from Kane, PA, from phone number 814-558-8980. Didn't have any reason to question it. Now when I Google the phone number it links to 90-year old William R. McDannell from Cairnbrook, PA and also to Pat Bokhorst from Bradford, PA. Neither town is near Kane. It also returns ads for crossbows and shotguns on a hunting website, but no profile to view to find further information on the seller.

So basically, some anonymous jerkoff wasted 2 weeks of their own time and mine just to blow my entire Saturday and annoy me. Posting this as a notice and some history to show up in searches if anybody goes looking, because there's currently no other record on Fauna of those names or the phone number. Dodging imbeciles in the reptile hobby/"community"/group of sideshow rejects - can become a full-time job, if you let it.
 
That sucks big time! What would motivate someone to do that? Maybe their mom would not let them borrow the car, and they were to embarrassed?? Well, hopefully you enjoyed the show, I would hate to give them the satisfaction of knowing otherwise.
 
Ha, yeah who knows what drives these nimrods. He/she/they asked me right as I was leaving if I knew of any locations of their personal bank in Hamburg. I said I didn't because I'm only up there as often as they are, didn't even think about the correlation that they may be having cash issues. Then said I was on my way, they said "ok", and that was the last contact I got. Could have easily told me what was going on so I didn't waste my entire day driving. But actually yeah, the show had some nice stuff. I was looking for rattlers, which were pretty abundant, but I didn't see anything I really needed to have. The only thing that made it worthwhile was that it was my girlfriend's first reptile show so we actually had a really cool day together...but still. :time_waiting_01:

Oh yeah, totally forgot that the phone number also leads to the empty "Jay Reeds" profile on Facebook.

Those big ol' meanie words have cost me a good bit of infraction points and suspensions, one that lasted a year. I deserved them. That being said, this site works for good guys and I truly think you're an asset to the reptile community. Stick around bud, and thanks for the heads up here.
