    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is a really difficult thing to do, as I really try to give people the benefit of the doubt. But, at some point something has to be done. I am keeping this short, screenshots speak for themselves. I purchased some geckos from Matt in July. Waited for an appropriate time for him to ship with little communication on his part. He kept promising to ship and I was fine to accept them any day. Then he says he lost one. Ok fine, it happens. He said he would send pics of some holdbacks for me to pick a new one. No pics. I told him to just pic o e and I would be happy. No response. Eventually he gets back to me and asks if I want the geckos shipped or a refund. I said I would like my geckos but he still didn't ship. Long story short, it's January and I still have no geckos and I have no refund. I understand that he has a real life and I think I have been more than fair in my dealings with him. If there was a little more effort at communication on his part I might still be happily sitting here awaiting my geckos.

Ok this is the last of them. Sorry I hope they are in order! All I would like is a refund. I am not mad at Matt, I do not hate him, and I only hope things get better for him. I really don't want this to be bash session, just maybe it will help out some others. I know there are others out there in the same boat, so hopefully they will speak up.

Your patience is amazing Crystal. $500 plus dollars is alot of money to give someone and not recieve what you bought. I would frankly have lost my nerve after 60 days.

Thanks :) as you can see from the messages, I tried multiple times. Unfortunately, that is the only way I know to get ahold of him.

This has been hard to watch lately and I'm sure there will be others who will come forward.

In the past, I had two positive purchases from Matt. I've always gotten along well with him.

Last November (2014) I won one of his auctions for an eclipse and paid right away. Nothing major, just $155 shipped. The weather was too cold to ship, so I knew I would have to wait.

It took me a bit to reach him at times in the spring, but when I heard back from him (spring or summer), he told me that he had some issues with heating and some animals were not doing well. Mine was one of them. By this time I had also won $100 in credit from a charity auction. I told him that I would just use the money I sent for the gecko along with the charity credit towards something else.

The problem since is that I can't get an answer on getting another gecko. I finally just asked for a refund that I'm still waiting on.

I should have just asked for a refund right away, but I thought I would have no problem getting another gecko sent to me. I will take the blame for that. But now I'm uncomfortable waiting and it's been well over a year since I paid.

I still won't label Matt a bad guy with my sale because, to be fair, I told him I would wait. I just didn't think I'd have to wait so long. People get busy and stuff comes up, but I'm concerned when multiple people have contacted me to see what was going on with him because they had geckos owed to them.

From what I'm seeing from others, this could have been avoided with communication. Most of us trust Matt and had no problem waiting for our animals. The issues start when communication is totally cut off.
 
Matt has been contacted by many people. Some of the messages show as being read with no response. He has not updated his business page in months. The lack of contact back is a big issue. It's not that we can't reach him (as shown by read messages and the few responses back).

To be fair though, Crystal, did you send him a message with this thread to notify him?

The last I've heard from him was in September, but he did read at least one of the messages I've sent since. I offered to help him out and messaged him just to check on him to see if he's ok. So it wasn't all business related.
