Wicked One
I was on the hunt for a Super Black Pastel when I found an old Fauna ad from Matt Marberg aka Thekidballpython. I contacted him and just my luck, he had 1 left and he was nice enough to reply. So therefore I got a nice 1.0 Super Black Pastel 66% het Pied. So awesome! Anyway I couldn’t believe it and I tried to get Matt to rush ship the BP to me during the cold winter. This was during the snowstorms that buried the east coast and froze other parts of the country at the beginning of the year. My city was cold but not shut down, so I thought it was ok. but no, it was not for the rest of the country. Matt has been around the block and knew this. It was not a good idea to ship and he made it clear that the safety of the animal was paramount. He cared for the BP for weeks until temps warmed up, the country unfroze, shipping normalized and it was safe to ship a BP between Illinois and Washington state.
Well that’s what we thought. The BP didn’t arrive right away the morning I was picking up at the FedEx hub and was last scanned and presumed to be stuck somewhere in the mid-West. Fedex said they would have a worker track it down and get it on the next plane over. Disappointed I went to work. Matt was tracking the shipment, contacted me to confirm if I had picked up the BP. I told them FedEx didn’t have it and it’s stuck somewhere. Matt got on the phone with FedEx immediately to figure out where the package was. He apologized even though it wasn’t his fault. Anyway fast forward 2 hours – my local FedEx calls me and says they have my BP. I guess they missed some scans or whatever and the BP was sitting there in the back. I took a break from work, rush over and sign for my new 1.0 Super Black Pastel 66% het Pied 3 hours later.

Anyway I named this boy Scarecrow and he is a killer. He’s not aggressive towards me but is food aggressive. He sheds perfectly and eats greedily – now closing in on 400grams and wolfing down weaned rats weekly. I’m so happy with my BP and the customer service. Matt Marberg Reptiles aka Thekidballpython is top notch.
