    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

But then again...I said it seems That Matthew has changed his name.

And ALL the clues pointed to them being the same person.
OH well,  I am not right all the time I guess.

Now make good on all your past dealings and prove everyone wrong.

I guess this is proof that you should be as honest as you can because people are on the look out.

Surprise, surprise. Once again the great detective, Ritchie Luna goes after a bad guy and comes up empty. Then after muddying the poor guy’s name he simply apologizes. No harm, no foul. If you were a real detective the prisons would be overflowing with the wrongfully convicted. Why don’t you get your facts straight before you start slinging mud next time. Rumor and innuendo does not make a very good foundation for proving someone has done wrong.

It seems that Barry and Matt ARE two different people!  I was wrong as well.  I certainly thought that all of the evidence we were able to see led one to believe that it was one person using two names here.  I appologize, and I hope that you both will forgive my wrongful conclusions.

I guess this just shows how precious a good reputation for being completely truthful actually is, huh?  And, Ross, not toot my own horn here at all, another good quality is the ability to admit when you are wrong, and Ritchie did just that.

1.  They are both from Minnesota
2.  They had the EXACT same animals for sale
3.  They even had the same prices
4.  They had the same IP# in some of their adds
5.  They used the same pics
6.  they used the same pics server
7.  Matt posted under Barries name

So I called it as I saw it.

Sorry, but no, saying you're wrong and apologizing  doesn't make everything allright. I've seen this on the BOI time and time again. People jump in without any solid evidence, tar a persons reputation and then say OOPS I was wrong, my bad, hope you're allright. People will always believe the worst once an accusation has been made and even if it's retracted a lot of people will go on believing it regardless. Look at what's happened in rape or child molestation cases. Even if you get off you're branded for life. You accuse a man of cheating people or falsely representing their business dealings and whatever the outcome, you've damaged him. So come up with cold hard facts that can be backed up by something more than "A source".

he has already done that himself.
His name was Mud before I even got to know what the internet is.

The only thing my source told me was
Matt tried to sell him a certain snake....Then three days later or so....someone else named Barry was selling the same snake.

THAT is when I did the investigating and noticed all the evidence pointed to them being the same person.

Should I type slower?  Or can you understand english?  

maybe you should read this whole thread first before you open your mouth.  I did research and I was STILL WRONG.  As for you.....you are just shooting your mouth off at the hip without doing reasearch.

You're forgetting one thing here, Ross. This whole controversy is not over a confusion in identity. This is over very "shady" business dealings. Who the he!! cares if they have turned out to be two separate individuals? That is not the true focal point of this matter. Alot of folks have "allegedly" been taken by this guy. That is the true focus. If Mr. Martin is SO reputable, where are his propponents? And where are all the good guy posts about him? Ritchie may have been mistaken about the "identity" issue only. But he was man enough to apologize publicly. I'm not saying everyone has handled themselves professionally here. But if Matt is SO upstanding, then why the threats, attacks, and generally foolish behavior here? I have to disagree strongly with you on this one, Ross. Have a nice day.

Sorry to butt in here, but that is a pretty sorry statement. Of course these people are concerned with their "livelyhoods" . Everyone here is. But if someone's livelyhood happens to consist of ripping other people off, you can't expect anyone to respect that. The alleged shadey activity may very well be effecting the livelyhoods of several HONEST herpers. SP ask yourself: which matters more.

In my opinion, Richie is doing exactly what he should be doing-- so what if he makes a bad call from time to time? If someone proves him wrong, then so be it, and no harm done. If someone can't prove him wrong, which seems most often the case, then hopefully it WILL hurt that scum bag's livelyhood, because they are preying on honest consumers. VERY rarely does a totally honest herp dealer have to deal with such allegations. That's because they make a habit of being HONEST. Reputations can be very expensive, and they are usually very accurate, even if particulars are a little off base.

Besides, if your actual livelyhood is dependant on peddling live animals, and you have to be worried about loosing just a few customers who happen to frequent this board, you already suck as a dealer and should probably get a real job. The animals deserve better anyway, don't they?

If a known "bad guy" tried to change his identity.....are you trying to say that he would have told the truth?

So what, exactly, is your association with Mr. Martin? If Mr. Martin has had some questionable dealings with some customers, and you are immediately associated with him in some way, why would you expect people not to be weary?

The association is the problem here, not Richie's conduct. Although he may have made a mistake in identification, the situation really did suggest that you and Matt were the same person. If you check out the evidence that was available at the time, what would you expect?  If you have a problem with being associated with some possible unscrupulous activity, you don't blame the whistle blower. Blame the source of the reputation, and your association to him.

If you are a squeaky-clean herp dealer with good intentions and a proven record, you have nothing to worry about. I hardly believe this thread has cost you enough customers to make a big dent in a thriving business. So if Richie really "had an impact" as you say, it may be time for another line of work anyway, 'cause dealing herps ain't cuttin' it.

I am still here, haven't changed or hidden behind anything.  I have a couple of different emails.  One of them is because I moved and relocated.  Plus I would bet that even the great Ritchie has more than one email address.

I am not sorry for rubbing people the wrong way, that is who I am.  I don't dance and beat around the bush like a number of individuals.

If you want to know how things are going then contact me like I have said all this time and can provided a very nice list of references to ask also.  Imagine that though did do that part of the research like you said you did.

Show that you are willing to do ALL the research just not what works for you do.

Considering I would like to know that source that you got the pic of me and my son from.  I have an idea where you got it from.  Pics of me and my kids have never even been sent over email the my parents so the only place that they have been is on my Hard-drive.  HMMMM......
