In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Matthew @ Monster Cages-BAD GUY

Small claims court usely goes up to $5000 and you don't have to have a lawyer. Sounds like dude has a problem with prograstination, paying as much as you did for this job he should have been kissing your ass from the get-go and finished the job quickly to show his appreciation and hope for more jobs in the future. Him trying to weasle storage costs is dirty as they come, sounds like dude has a drug problem. He obviously has a problem managing his money and business well. You don't just start a business for the hell of it-you have to do what your supposed to do and make sure you keep a client who has invested as much money and time as you do. This guy is the worst kind of slacker [he thinks he is intitled to more dough!] he's gotta be "on the dope".

Matt Martin is the guest speaker for our February 2 MN Herp Society meeting... I knew I'd heard the name before, but it took me a minute to realize where. Just thought I'd share.

a good question

That's a good question, Dan. But, after following matt martin's (as well as his other aliases) career for a number of years, I could only guess.

matt could be lecturing on any of the following:

a. how to be nailed in an online scam, then lay low for a few months and come back with a brand new front (oops, i meant 'company').

b. how to pretend to be a 'reptile rescue.' once you get animals in, do absolutely nothing to help them and then resell at huge profits.

c. how to make crappy cages. once someone orders some, you may or may not send them out (also known as pulling a 'sal tornambene').

damn, matt should invite sal and the laperchias there to cohost. damon heynen can be mc. underhill can bartend. and bowles and bruce can inhale the snack bar. that would put just about all the major scammers in one place.

Herp Club

Did your herp club president ever give a reason as to why on Earth he/she would invite this filth to speak before you?

Just curious...

It may be irrelevant at this point, but we have one cage that was built by Monster Cages and it is one of the worst built cages I have ever seen. The latches that hold the plexiglass doors shut are really cheap, the edges of the cage are sharp and not smoothed over, and you can see the caulk smeared everywhere. Just from the quality of this one cage, I would never buy any from them. We go Boaphile with everything else now.

Kelly, I hope you are able to get this worked out. You have been way more than patient!

Best of luck,
Anya

Contact your CC company right away. If he does not have a signed receipt, or an imprint of the card, charge back is in your favor. You may have to go through the security/fraud dept at the CC company. Also, not delivering on an arrangement is fraud. You need a lawyer.

I got a 11-shelf tower rack accommodates 11 to 22 Rubbermaid tubs. 12 or 28q tubs. I really like it. I went to him and picked it up, it was ready when he said it would be. He took me on a tour of his place, he has some really nice snakes. It was all very clean, really keeps good records on all his animals. I told him that day that I would want one more rack. He call me 3 weeks later and told me he would be up by my place and he could bring it with him if I was ready for it. I had not even gave a down payment at the time. I would buy from him again!!!!!!!!

Thats what happened with me...

From Kelly's experiance and Charles's, their is a huge difference. Charles recieved his locally, and kelly is not anywhere near close enough to pick them up. I think, this is my own personal opinion that Matt has either not gotton the cages done in the alloted time and spent the money. Or has not gotton them done and spent the cash, which 6g's isnt a small amount by any means. Kelly, get the payment proof and take him to small claims court. Either that or go threw your card company that this purchase was made threw. Also, if your in need of cages, i would look at Boamasters.com. He does some amazing work and a fair price. I bought one off a friend for my old tiger tic, and i had it for a long time never had any issues.

When I made my payments, I even added the 3% paypal charge in addition to the base amount.

It's just wrong for a seller to charge customers 3% more on credit card or PayPal payments. I may be wrong but I believe it's in the TOS of both not to charge fees to customers using credit cards or PayPal.

In some states it is illegal to charge fees for taking credit cards, and yes it is against the Pay Pal TOS and if they find out about it they can remove you from their service.

It's a big pet peeve of mine as well.

I figured this issue was resolved by now, i guess not? I bought from Matt Miller, an associate to the owner Matt. I recieved all the product on time, intact, and more than i needed not that im complaining. As far as buying directly from the owner, i do not know. I have purchased used cages that he made and im about to buy more. But i hope that this issue has been resolved, if it has hopefully a moderator will lock it to not keep bringing it up. If it hasn't, well then i guess it will be an ongoing battle.
