    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

so before i go any further i paid 105 dollars for 2000 roaches this is what i got,i paid a extra 20 for express shipping,now i don't think this is near 2000 roaches,maybe 200-400 tops what do you guys think and how much should i ask for in return for a refund?
 
Looks at least over 1,000, cannot see how many are under the paper.
 
yea i really didn't bother him about the extra nor brought it up but pissed about the order i could of easily spent that 105 on crickets which was 1000 for 20 but went to him and got shorted =/ he says he will refund me fully i shall see except shipping
 
That's well over 1000. Count out 100 in a cup and compare it to the size of they entire order. I usually pay around $45-$50 per thousand, so the price doesn't seem out of line to me. Unless temps are well below freezing, there's really no need to express ship them. (I know it's too late to think about that). I had them shipped over our extreme heat wave with no die-offs.
Also, you really can't compare them to crickets, which will only last a few weeks at the very most.
Just my two cents.

shipping was personal preference i needed them today as i was out of feeders soon so yea it had nothing to do with temps etc.

after checking id say this is around 500 at most

the cup alone is 32 grams



with the roaches 71 grams minus 32 grams which brings us to 39 grams total for the roaches mind you not all are the same size i did pick out the obvious huge ones tho
 
I made a selection of one of the more densely populated, yet spread out, portions of the pictures and counted roughly 135 definite roaches. I would estimate that there were probably 10-15 that I didn't see. So we'll call it 150.

i weight it to be more accurate so how much roaches is suppose is 39 grams?as stated it could be very less than that considering some roaches are bigger,i did takeout the obvious larger ones in the bunch
 
let me just say this i have placed and order with max before no issues nor is this a bad guy thread yet just want to clarify the amount,i was told to weigh it instead of counting

yes i did.asked him to refund the amount today so i can pick up roaches locally as this purchase was not only for me but for a friend of mines,he said he can't refund me today because he has no funds on paypal nor any funds in his bank which he claims my funds are the one being transferred to the bank which he will have to refund me from,i paid since wednesday shipement went out thurs,got it friday.

At any rate, counting the roaches, individually, in the photo, and accounting for what must be under the pieces of paper, you do have at least 1000 roaches there.
 
I feel as if this BOI should never have been started. This could have been taken to a discussion thread however You also mentioned that this is not a bad guy thread "yet". Either way I still feel that if you really wanted to know how many roaches you have, you should count them yourself. However you are just resorting to laziness bring this to a BOI to have others do the work for you.

This is just my thought. Nothing personal.

Actually i was not being lazy,when i posted this i had no knowledge of counting roaches etc until some people here and facebook told me do a weight check.

i did do the weight count and it was only 39 grams

by the weight i got i only got 1000 or less roaches from the 2000 i ordered.
 
anyway ill settle for half my money back to order the other 1000 else where from another supplier locally.
