• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Mealrworm question?

Oh, I forgot to add:

Sesame Seeds- whole, dried

ok so corn is not bad, it's just not as good as it could be?

Exactly... and the RWB is just as cheap if not cheaper, especially if you are using large quantities (i.e myself!) As for the sesame seeds, I find it quite easy to use a pooper scooper (never used for that purpose!!!) to sift out the worms and the seeds would get caught in the scooper also making my feeding time longer than it already is!

hmmm, I think i'm going to give seasame seeds a try! they sell them in bulk as our grocery store here.

if your still reading up (or if your not..) I've got some interesting info (pics...amusing stuff) on my site, the addy is below.

sorry, i don't see an address. When your meamworms start turning into pupae how can you tell? o yah, are nectarines like poisonous to meal worms or something because i gave them some nectarine for moisture and picked out like 15 very dead black colored worms today. possibly they just weren't healthy? all of the others seem to be doing fine and aren't changing weird colors :rolleyes: thanks in advance!

oops...i thought i had a sig with my addy in it! its Steph's Geckos the mealworm info is under "project self sufficentcey".

you will definatley know when you have pupae (take a look at my pics) but as far as the necterine goes...i have no idea, maybe it was too moist and they over did it? i would go with potatoe or apple for moisture, less likley to saturate your oatmeal. trust me you dont want soggy oatmeal, it rotts, and then stinks up the whole culture sooo fast!
